    Dalsnibba Mountain and Eagle Road

    Make the journey up to Mount Dalsnibba for a spectacular view of the Geiranger Fjord, one of the longest and deepest fjords in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the viewpoint at the top of Eagle Road, you’ll see the famous Seven Sisters waterfalls.


    You'll be transferred ashore by tender to the pier in Geiranger, where coaches and guides are waiting your arrival. This picturesque village is one of Norway's most popular tourist resorts with locals and visitors alike. The coach climbs up the winding mountain road offering an ever changing kaleidoscope of mountain farms, waterfalls, lakes and streams.


    From Lake Djupvatn, you'll continue up the hairpin road to Mount Dalsnibba. From the summit, nearly 5,000 feet/1,500 metres above sea level, you'll have a spectacular view of the Geiranger Fjord far below and the magnificent mountain peaks all around.


    At Flydal viewpoint you'll make a stop to take a photograph of your ship down on the fjord. You'll continue to the north side of the fjord with a drive up Eagle Road, carved in the mountain with 11 hairpin turns. At the viewpoint at the top, you'll see the famous Seven Sisters waterfalls.

    Need to Know:

    Note: Should the road to the summit of Dalsnibba Mountain be closed, due to heavy snow or ice, tour buses will only go as far as the road allows. You’ll have extra photo stops on the Eagle Road, for maximum enjoyment of your experience.

    Herdal Mountain Farm

    Visit one of Norway’s summer farms up in the beautiful mountains. You’ll learn about their operation, meet the workers, see the livestock and enjoy samples of the food they produce here. Your tour starts from the small village of Geiranger, one of Norway’s most popular tourist resorts. Board your coach and climb up Eagle Road, with its 11 hairpin bends for a scenic stop. Here you’ll have a spectacular view of Pulpit Rock, the Seven Sisters waterfall and your cruise ship anchored below. The Geiranger Fjord is one of the deepest and longest fjords in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


    You’ll drive through high snow-covered mountains and lovely green valleys en route to the Herdal Mountain Farm. This farm has been in operation for some 300 years and is one of many summer farms in Norway. With hundreds of goats, their main product is brown and white goat cheese. You’ll get to meet some of the people that work here, befriend a goat or two and enjoy samples of the food they produce. In addition to the goats, the farm also has cows, sheep and Norwegian Fjord Horses.

    RIB Boat Tour on the Geiranger Fjord

    Experience the magnificence of the Geiranger Fjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in a safe, rigid inflatable boat (RIB). A short walk takes you from the tender pier to where your boat is docked.


    You’ll be surrounded by this unique fjord landscape offering famous waterfalls and stunning views. The boat will take you to the end of the Geiranger Fjord and all the way to Oaldsbygda. You’ll come right up close to the waterfalls and have fine views of the farms along the fjord. Your boat will make short stops during the tour at scenic spots.

    Need to Know:

    Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age. Pregnant women or guests with back or neck problems cannot participate on this tour. The RIB boat is just a 0.12 mile/200 meter walk from the pier on flat asphalt and gravel. Warm, rain and windproof, suits will be provided for all participants, they also serve as lifejackets. The seats are comfortable and all have seats belts. Use of the safety suit and seatbelt is compulsory. Wear flat shoes, heels are not permitted.

    Hiking to Storseterfossen Waterfall

    You’ll be treated to beautiful views of the village, the magnificent fjord, and a thundering waterfall. The small village of Geiranger, with just a few hundred residents is one of Norway’s most popular tourist resorts.


    Your experience begins with an easy 15 minute walk on country roads to Westeras Farm, offering beautiful views of the Geiranger Fjord. From here a 30-50 minute hike, depending on group’s stamina, will bring you to the thundering Storseterfossen Waterfall, that you can actually walk behind. You’ll continue to Westerasfjellet Mountain for a spectacular view of the village of Geiranger located some 800 feet/250 meters below you. Then return to the café located on the old farm to enjoy a traditional treat of Norwegian waffles served with jam and a choice of coffee or tea. Walking back to the main road, your coach be waiting to return you to Geiranger.

    Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age and must be able to walk for 5 miles/8 km on dirt paths, steep terrain and some inclines. Guests must be in a good physical condition and used to hiking. Wear appropriate clothing and good hiking shoes. This tour may be cancelled for safety reasons, if the paths are too wet and slippery.

    Sky to Fjord – Downhill Biking

    Welcome to the Sky to Fjord Downhill Biking tour, a chance for you to see the best highlights that nature has to offer in this spectacular area. Board your motor coach/minivan fjordside and drive through Geiranger, passing the church, Flydal Canyon, the Knot and Kvanndal summer farm. This scenic drive climbs the steep slopes all the way up to Djupvasshytta Mountain Lodge about 3,380 feet/1,030 meters above sea level.


    Upon arrival, you’ll be set up with your gear and bike. You’ll have the freedom to bike down the public road as fast or as slow as you want, the choice is yours. You can stop along the way at the recommended viewpoints, take some photos and enjoy the scenery or head directly to Geiranger. Either way, enjoy yourself and the beauty of this area, biking on one of Norway’s most popular scenic roads.


    Need to Know:

    Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age, fit and healthy and know how to ride a bike. Comfortable, warm clothing, water and/or windproof jacket are recommended. This is downhill biking, often with high speed, so it is important to have enough warm clothes on. Gloves, a helmet and a visibility vest will be provided. If the tour operator is in doubt whether a guest is capable of enduring this tour, he may have to refuse the guest before the tour starts.

    Kayaking On Geirangerfjord

    Geiranger, Norway

    Take advantage of this opportunity to get out and kayak on one of the longest and deepest fjords in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A guide will meet you at the pier and walk with you to Geiranger Camping, where the kayaks are waiting.


    You’ll glide along the steep mountain walls where sunshine reflects an incomparable beauty. You’ll see thundering waterfalls such as the Seven Sisters and Bridal Veil. There is no experience required - your well-trained guides will teach you all you need to know. There are two person kayaks, as well as single kayaks. This is the perfect adventure for all, families included. After approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours kayaking, you’ll return to Geiranger and take a short walk back to the pier on your own.


    Need to Know:

    Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age, weigh less than 265 pounds/120 kg, a maximum height of 6.25 feet/190.5 cm, be in good physical condition and must be able to swim. Every child must be accompanied by an adult in the kayak. Those with back or neck problems are not allowed to participate.


    Tour involves approximately 0.28 miles/457 meters of walking on gravel or asphalt to reach the campsite. Previous sea kayaking experience is not required. No changing facilities are available. Personal items can be locked in the manned kayak office during paddling. Recommend comfortable, sporty clothes and shoes. Life jackets are compulsory and will be provided for all participants.
