Settle in for a relaxing and wonderfully scenic cruise on the Big Sipper, a double-decker boat that offers up-close views of the area’s natural beauty. Along the way, you will pass Placencia Village, head into the Placencia Canal and skirt the idyllic beaches that hug the shore. In the distance, you will see the Maya Mountains, a range that runs from Belize to Guatemala. Even so, some of the best sights are close by, as dolphins are often seen frolicking in the waters just off the bow and sometimes right next to the sides of the boat. West Indian manatees are also commonly spotted in these waters, especially in the slow-moving shallows. Being herbivores, they spend much of their time there foraging on aquatic plants. Feel free to move about the boat. The upper deck is open-air; the lower deck and bar area are covered.
