Farm-to-table is a social movement that promotes serving local food at restaurants and school cafeterias, usually through direct acquisition from the producer. The Mediterráneo Havana is the first farm-to-table restaurant in Havana, Cuba, and on this excursion you will learn all about the process of getting your food directly from the farm to your table.
From the pier, you will go to the Vista Hermosa farm with an expert in Cuban cuisine, where you will learn about the fruits and vegetables grown there and you will have the opportunity to taste some of them.
You will also visit others parts of the farm and another plantation that provides food to the restaurant. You will learn about the process of animal breeding and get to feed them.
After a fun-filled morning where you’ve learned all about the farm-to-table process, you will get to enjoy your lunch at the farm.
Afterwards, you will return to the pier.
