You will then follow its shoreline north to Capernaum, which was the center of Jesus' ministry while he lived in the area. Here, you will see the remains of a 4th-century synagogue and enjoy a buffet lunch.
The early afternoon is devoted to driving through Tiberias, one of Judaism's holiest cities, and driving through a kibbutz, during which your guide will delve into their fascinating histories. Later, visit Yardenit, a sacred baptism site on the Jordan River.
Before returning to Haifa, you will drive through Cana, enjoying sweeping views over Nazareth, whose modern Basilica of the Annunciation rises prominently above the city. Cana holds its own special place in history as being the location where Jesus is thought to have turned water into wine.
