Place yourself in the driver’s seat of a custom built inflatable boat on this unique coastal expedition experience. At the marina, you’ll be outfitted with top-of-the-line outdoor gear to keep you warm and dry. Be sure to keep your camera handy as this seafaring adventure offers photo opportunities from the moment you set sail. You'll board your four passenger boat and drive off the grid to behold the beauty of Ketchikan, far away from the crowds, racing across the water in search of wildlife and spectacular views. Bald eagles, seals, sea lions, porpoises, sea otters, orcas, humpback whales and an amazing array of flora and fauna are some of the sights you may encounter.
You’ll have an amazing view of Ketchikan itself from the water, along with stories about its rich and colorful history, native cultures, totem poles, bootleggers, smugglers, brothels, loggers, fisheries, gold miners and the engineering particulars of a town that faces 20 foot tidal swings. Marvel at the city built on stilts and the “Salmon capital” of the world. Upon your return, you'll be greeted by friendly staff and warmed up with a beverage and salmon dip before you’re escorted to your ship.

Note: Participants must be at least 4 years of age. Maximum weight allowed 350 lbs. Drivers must be at least 26 years of age to drive the boat and in good physical condition. Comfortable warm layered clothing is recommended as you may get cold or wet despite outdoor gear provided. Groups of two and three may share a boat with another party. Groups of four will have their own boat. This tour is not recommended for people with previous back, neck injuries or guests who are pregnant because the water may get choppy as this is a coastal waterway and not a lake. Routes may vary due to weather and tide conditions.
