This compelling tour presents both the attractions in the surrounding countryside and the landmarks in downtown Manila, providing you with a complete understanding of the area.

Joining your coach at the pier, you will first travel south into the Philippines' lush interior, stopping along the way at La Pinas Church. Inside, you'll have the rare opportunity to behold the world's only bamboo organ, which was built in 1824 and has become a national cultural treasure. Driving farther south, you'll stop at a collection of tropical fruit and flower stalls, where an array of fresh, colorful, and often exotic, produce is openly displayed.

Next, you'll drive to the Tagaytay Volcano area where you'll be treated to lunch at the Taal Vista Hotel. The hotel perches atop a ridge in Tagaytay and offers beautiful views of the volcano, surrounding mountains and lake. The air is noticeably cooler at this altitude of more than 2,000 feet above sea level, which is why Tagaytay is such a popular spot for vacationing Manilans during the summer months.

Returning to downtown Manila, you'll visit Rizal Park, a serene setting dedicated Manila's national hero Dr. Jose Rizal, who was executed in 1898 for his anti-colonial writings. On the drive back to the pier, you'll pass several other historic landmarks within the 16th-century walls of Intramuros, the original section of the city. The highlights include imposing Fort Santiago and magnificent San Agustin, a stone church constructed in 1606.
