This experience will be unlike any other dolphin interaction. When we say swim with the dolphins, we don’t mean stand around in a pool, we mean swim among dolphins!
Upon arrival on the island, you will be greeted by the staff, fill out the required paperwork and waiver, get your mask, snorkl and life jacket, receive a short orientation, and then break into groups of 10 guests per trainer for your dolphin swim. Following that, you’ll walk down to the water and wade out to a waist-deep depth where you will have an up-close meeting with your dolphin.
For approximately the next 15 minutes, your trainer will introduce you to your dolphin, answer all your questions, demonstrate some behaviors and take time for a photo with the dolphin that can be purchased at the end of your encounter.
Next, you will actually swim with the dolphins. For approximately 30 minutes you will have a free swim in the natural habitat while dolphins swim around, under and occasionally by you. You will hear the noises they make to communicate amongst themselves and their natural interactions with each other.
Following your unforgettable dolphin experience, the rest of the day is then yours to enjoy by doing as much or as little as you please. On the sugar white beach, you can lounge on your included lounge chair or enjoy the refreshing azure blue Bahamian water. You’ll have unlimited complimentary use of noodles, and inner-tubes are also available. Snorkel gear and paddleboards are available for rent. For guests not wishing to get their feet sandy, there are 2 swimming pools. Or you might want to relax in a poolside cabana which are available for rent on a first come basis.
When it’s time to quench your thirst, there are several different bars on the island, each with its own mood, including a frozen tropical drink bar where frozen margaritas, daiquiris and Pina coladas await. For food options, The Market offers something for everyone, from small snacks to complete meals of fresh sandwiches, salads and wraps. The Market features a Starbucks® for coffee aficionados.
For your convenience, restrooms are located around the island as well as fresh water showers and foot baths. Umbrellas are available on the beach on a first-come basis and there is plenty of shade to be found on one of the patios or bars.
