Take an exhilarating helicopter ride over some of the most beautiful parts of Newport, including the lavish oceanfront mansions, sprawling Fort Adams and the harbor.

After departing from the pier, you will soon arrive at the heliport and after receiving a safety briefing, prepare to board a helicopter for a flight over Newport and other parts of Aquidneck Island. Only three guests at a time will be on each flight, which adds to the intimacy of the experience.

When it’s time for your group, you will hop aboard and take off on a breathtaking flight that offers a birds-eye view of Newport’s most spectacular sights. As you fly above the harbor, your pilot will provide commentary. During your flight you will see the Newport Bridge, the suspension bridge that connects Newport and Jamestown on neighboring Conanicut Island. You can also easily spot Fort Adams, America’s largest coastal fortification and a National Historic Landmark.

Being in a helicopter offers the rare opportunity to soar above Newport’s famed summer “cottages” built by America’s leading industrialists in the late 19th century. The opulent homes include The Breakers for the Vanderbilt family and Rosecliff, which renowned architect Stanford White designed for a Nevada silver heiress. You can also expect to see Hammersmith Farm, the childhood home of Jacqueline Bouvier and the site of the reception for her 1953 wedding to John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

Before returning to the heliport, you will also fly past Cliffwalk, the gorgeous walking path that follows the shoreline, and you will see sections of the coastal road - Ten Mile Drive.
