Dennis Conner's America's Cup winning Stars & Stripes or one of her contenders, Canada II and True North IV are yours for this once in a lifetime adventure. The expert crew will show you exactly what to do in your role as “crew member”. Then it's off to the racecourse to grind a winch, trim a sail, punch a stopwatch or just relax and enjoy the refreshments. For this unique adventure, a highlight of your holiday, previous sailing experience is not necessary!
After the race enjoy the complimentary victory rum punch party, while you browse through the museum souvenir boutique. Guests will be able to take a leisurely walk back to the cruise ship terminal (5 mins.) or downtown/boardwalk (10 mins.).
Need to Know:
Note: The minimum age is 9 however, there are some young people, typically in a sailing family who have considerable sailing experience and are well aware of the potential hazards of sailing and have been trained to perform accordingly. In these cases, if the young person is accompanied by their parent, at the discretion of the shore excursion manager, we will be pleased to accept young people to a minimum age of 6. All guests 16 years and younger are to be accompanied by an adult. Maximum age is 70 years, but again if 70+ and fit we would certainly look to permit, at the discretion of the shore excursion manager, on a case by case basis.
This tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility and guests who utilize a wheelchair. Soft soled shoes are required; no heels will be permitted onboard the yachts. You are welcome to bring a bag with a camera & sunscreen etc. Operation of this excursion is subject to weather conditions. There are no restrooms onboard the yachts, guests are advised to use the facilities before departing the pier. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to be served alcoholic beverages.
