OVERVIEW

This excursion is for guests who are fully dependent on their mobility device. You will be required to supply your own wheelchair/scooter. Your mobility equipment (manual or electric) must not exceed the following dimensions: W 33", L 100", H 58".

Those guests that are companions, use a cane or walker, or have limited mobility issues must book the companion tour code: STT_A1 ACCESSIBLE Companion: Mountain Top & Beach Break.

Tour includes step-free routes, shorter distances and no stairs. Accessible restrooms with wide doors for wheelchairs are present along the tour route. Vehicles are adapted with an access ramp (or lift where available) to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs and/or mobility scooters. Guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs; therefore, guests needing special assistance must be accompanied by an able-bodied.

Behold the natural beauty of St. Thomas from the most scenic overlooks and then relax on a beach that consistently rates among the world’s most beautiful. A panoramic drive inland will bring you to Mountain Top, a spectacular viewpoint at the summit of St. Peter Mountain. From this elevated perch more than 2,000 feet above sea level, you will enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Puerto Rico to the west and the British Virgin Islands to the east. Similarly, Paradise Point will offer the ultimate view of Charlotte Amalie, as it overlooks the city. You should easily be able to make out your cruise ship in the harbor below. Still, nothing compares to seeing the island’s extraordinary beauty up close, and you will have the opportunity at Magens Bay. Its sugar-white stretch of sand, rimmed by an impossibly turquoise sea, may well be the most photogenic and celebrated beach in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

OVERVIEW

Cruise to neighboring St. John for a leisurely walk through Cruz Bay with stops for tasty snacks and craft cocktails in popular bars that the locals favor. To reach this most naturally preserved of the U.S. Virgin Islands, you will take the ferry along the southern shore of St. Thomas and on to the town of Cruz Bay, which overlooks the bay of the same name. Although the largest town on the island, Cruz Bay is still small and compact, making it easy to get around. You can expect to drop by bars that serve classic rum punches, frozen cocktails and citrusy Painkillers, a signature drink that lives up to its name. Chances are, you will also hit the Tap Room for a glass of St. John Brewers beer with a tropical flair such as mango pale ale. Afterwards, there may be time for shopping and independent exploration.

After a spectacularly scenic ferry ride across Pillsbury Sound – the waterway that separates St. Thomas from St. John – you will begin an enlightening walk through Cruz Bay, a laid-back town that has become a foodie haven. You may stop for bites at the simply named Beach Bar or a place somewhat off the grid that your guide favors. Whatever the venue, you can be sure it will reflect Cruz Bay’s laid-back atmosphere and serve creative dishes made with the freshest locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy a deep-fried Roti or Johnny Cake, one of the nation dishes of the region popular with locals, local fish dip or featured seasonal items. If the chefs are free, you may hear the stories behind their creations.
