DETAILS

    hrs Estimate Duration

Enjoy a leisurely canal boat ride along the city’s waterways and pay a visit to the Carlsberg Visitor’s Center.

A short walk takes you to the pier where your canal boat waits. Then travel through the harbor to see the Royal Palace, the new Opera House and Nyhavn – the colorful canal lined with bars and cafes. Cruise the canals of Christianshavn, passing Our Saviour’s Church, the Black Diamond and go around Christiansborg Palace – seat of the Danish Parliament.

At the end of your canal cruise, you’ll board a motor coach that will take you to the Carlsberg Visitor’s Center, located in the 1847 building which housed the original brewery. A guided tour takes you through the history of beer making and the impact it had in the life of the community. You’ll see the old granary, the stables where the work horses are still housed and even Carl Jacobsen’s old villa. After touring the facilities, enjoy one small complimentary beer or soda in the tasting room.

You’ll see more of the city highlights during the transfer back to your ship.

Need to Know:

Note: Due to the numerous steps (55) in the brewery and to reach the canal boat, this tour is not recommended for guests with limited mobility.
