Race down the rapids of the wild Kymijoki River for an exhilarating, adrenaline-pumping adventure like no other. The guide will brief you on what to expect before you start rafting on the Kymi, as it is known locally. Being the longest river in Finland, it runs through all sorts of terrain, the majority of it heavily forested and undeveloped. You will begin rafting in an area where the waters are calm, so you can get a feel for how to best steer the raft and keep it balanced. In time, as the river narrows and the tranquil waters pick up speed, the real fun will begin. The guide will help maneuver the raft and offer paddling advice as you shoot the rapids. In the calmer water between the rapids, the guide will elaborate on the history of the Kymijoki River and the wildlife that you may spot along the riverbanks.
