Saxman Village enchants with its many of colorful totem poles adored with symbols that reflect the culture of the indigenous people. An enlightening tour of the Libby Cannery will add more historical insight as its displays show how salmon was once canned there for export. You will also be offered a tasting of wild salmon paired with a local craft beer. Ketchikan’s surrounding natural beauty will take center stage as you meander along a nature trail with a naturalist guide. Cruising the inlet presents yet another perspective of this incredibly scenic waterway. Wildlife is abundant throughout, especially sea lions, porpoises, and bald eagles. Chances are, you will pause at Walden Rocks, a finger of bare rocky land where seals frequently come ashore to rest.

• See the world’s largest collection of totem poles at Saxman Village.
• Tour a historical salmon cannery and sample wild salmon with a glass of locally brewed beer.
• Follow a winding nature trail through a lush, wonderfully serene rainforest.
• Look for wildlife such as seals, sea lions and bald eagles while cruising scenic George Inlet.

Note: All guests are required to navigate tide variable ramps and access stairs onto the motorcoach and boat. Comfortable shoes and warm layered clothing is recommended. Wildlife sightings are frequent, but not guaranteed. Guests who go ashore do so with the understanding that they will be mixing with members of the general public.
