Enjoy a look at local life by interacting with the fun-loving residents of Monkeyland and by visiting a typical Dominican home. Two families of squirrel monkeys live in the Monkeyland nature reserve, where they spend most of the day in the trees, although not high in the canopy. Unlike other New World monkeys that use their prehensile tails to grasp tree limbs, squirrel monkeys rely on their remarkably human-like hands and powerful feet to hold on. You will see them leaping about the trees, and they will likely come down for you to hand-feed them. If you encourage them, the squirrel monkeys will climb up on your shoulder. They are exceptionally social, highly intelligent and quite vocal as they communicate through dozens of calls such as barks, purrs and squawks. You will also see how many Dominicans live by dropping by a traditional house at Monkeyland for a cup of organic coffee.

You’ll snorkel Cozumel’s crystal clear waters during this off shore beginner’s experience your whole family can enjoy. Spend hours exploring the wilds and roads less traveled on Chichagof Island in a Jeep Wrangler designed for outdoor adventure. You will travel along old logging roads that were built to harvest valuable timber such as hemlock, spruce and cedar trees. The route will cut through some of the most spectacular, undeveloped countryside in Alaska. The fifth largest island in the United States, Chichagof lies within the limits of the 17-million-acre Tongass National Forest, America’s largest national forest. The terrain ranges from seaside estuaries to alpine mountain peaks, and you will have plenty of chances to stop and view the gorgeous scenery. With its remote location and limited accessibility, Chichagof is home to some of the animals most often associated with Alaska, including the world’s largest brown bear population, estimated to be three bears per square mile. You might also see bald eagles soaring above, land otters, Sitka black-tail deer and red squirrels.

Cruise through the surrounding waters in a spacious double-deck catamaran and snorkel at two prime locations. The scenery will be absolutely spectacular the entire way, but especially at El Arco, the natural arch that the tides and wind have cut out of the sheer granite over thousands of years. Few spots are so photogenic, especially if sea lions are present. In time, the captain will select an ideal spot to snorkel depending on the conditions. You can expect to observe an ever-changing parade of tropical fish in the Sea of Cortez, whose waters famed oceanographer Jacques Cousteau nicknamed the “Aquarium of the World.” The second snorkeling site will be teeming with marine life as well. Colorful parrotfish, vertical-striped Moorish idols and bright-blue damselfish are just a few of species frequently spotted. When you are not snorkeling, you can partake of an array of snacks, a boxed lunch and the open bar.

Ride through the wilderness in a Utility Terrain Vehicle designed for off-road adventure and admire the majestic panoramas while driving to and from Mahoney Lake. On the way to the base camp, you will enjoy spectacular views of George Inlet and Tongass National Forest. Still nothing rivals the exhilaration of hopping into the 2-seat or a 4-seat UTV and following the guide caravan-style up the mountainous 5-mile trail to Mahoney Lake. Whoever drives on the way up will switch positions and ride as a passenger on the way down. The serene lake and roaring Mahoney Falls are at the end of the trail, and both are well worth exploring. During stops, the guide will offer commentary about the history of Ketchikan, including the pulp mill at Ward Cove, which is longest operating such mill in Alaska. Back at the White River base camp, you can relive the experience while dining on vegan chili or a reindeer sausage.

Try your luck fishing for halibut, a flatfish that gets massive and feeds voraciously in the summer. You will cruise to the fishing grounds from Auke Bay with no more than five other guests, which will ensure that the crew can provide exceptional personal attention to increase your chances of catching one of these halibut. Once arriving to the back drifting or anchoring location, you will jig with a vertical rigging to reach the bottom of the ocean floor where halibut live. Drive into the mountainous national park that looms behind Puerto Plata in a safari-style vehicle as a prelude to relaxing on one of the area’s most beautiful beaches. Drive a specially designed off-road adventure kart through a private rainforest preserve in the rugged Alaskan wilderness. After an orientation briefing, you will gear up for a 90-minute guided trek along winding mountain trails and off road. With the guide leading the way, your caravan of adventure karts will set off into the rainforest. A comfortable pace will be maintained as you thread your way around steep curves, climbing to a height that will present unparalleled views of the Tongass National Forest, Behm Canal and the Inside Passage. Stops will be made along the way to soak up the grandeur and natural beauty. Drivers and passengers will have the opportunity to switch positions. Zip off into the desert and along the sea in a two person all-terrain vehicle, accompanied by a naturalist that will enlighten you on the unusual landscape, flora and fauna.

After departing from the pier, you will follow a scenic route through the strikingly beautiful terrain at the tip of Baja California. The deeper you delve into the stark desert landscape, the more enchanting it will become, especially with your guide pointing out the unusual land formations and elaborating on the most fascinating flora and fauna.

Next, after receiving your safety briefing and signing your waiver, you will zip off into the desert in a 4x4 all-terrain vehicle that’s ideal for negotiating the rugged landscape. As you drive along, you will pass through arid mountains, into deep canyons and follow the sand dunes that protect the beach-blessed coast.

You can expect a remarkably picturesque ride with the occasional stop for your guide to elaborate on the flora. Besides ever-present cacti, a variety of palms dot the landscape, as do damiana shrubs, whose serrated leaves are consumed as tea or infused into margaritas.

Back at the recreational center, Tequila tasting will be offered for those of legal age. Afterwards, you will transfer back to the pier.

Drive a Jeep through downtown Nassau and its suburbs, taking in attractions such as the caves where the indigenous Lucayans once lived and then pausing to relax at the beach..

After a short walk from the pier, you will hop into a Jeep Wrangler and hit the open road. There is plenty to see during your time behind the wheel, starting with downtown Nassau, the capital, largest city and cultural hub of the Bahamas..

You will drive through the colorful shopping district on Bay Street and see highlights such as palm-dotted Rawson Square, lovely government buildings such as the Supreme Court and the pink-hued House of Assembly. You will then head west past lovely Cable Beach and on towards the Nassau Caves for a photo stop..

The Lucayans, the original residents of the Bahamas once lived in these caverns. Settlers later used the caves for religious services and the guano inside to fertilize their crops..

You will drive along JFK Drive, which recognizes President John F. Kennedy’s 1962 meeting in Nassau to discuss Polaris, the United Kingdom’s submarine-based nuclear-weapons program. The fabulous and sprawling Baha Mar resort is another Bahamian landmark that you will pass. .

Free time on one of Nassau’s most inviting beaches follows, during which you might stroll along the shore, bask in the sun or simply admire the natural beauty and serenity of the sea. Then after a bountiful lunch at the Bahamian Grill, you will return to the pier..

The first three zips crisscross Harvest Caye, each zip long enough for you to feel the rush and enjoy the sensation. Cruise to subtropical Rose Island to relax on the beach and interact with its most well-known residents—a passel of cute, friendly pigs that will swim out into the ocean to greet you. On the way there, you will see many of the attractions around Nassau’s harbor and hear tales of the domesticated pigs that inhabit Rose Island. The pigs have been pampered since they were babies and love attention, so be ready for a fun, up-close and personal experience. Once you wade into the shallow waters, you can expect the pigs to approach, knowing that food awaits. Pirates once used the Crystal Caves as hideouts and legend has it that treasures are still buried in their depths. While following a winding trail through the ancient caverns, you will see eerily illuminated stalactites and stalagmites, a glass-smooth underground lake and a cave whose ceiling collapsed ages ago. The guide will describe how the caves were formed and the wonders that lie within them. Back on the surface, you will settle in for a panoramic coastal drive, during which you will pause for photos at the Wreck of the Ten Sail memorial. It commemorates the convoy 10 British ships that wrecked on the reefs just offshore in 1794 in a massive maritime disaster. Upon arriving, you will hike about two miles on a logging trail that cuts through private lands and eventually reaches a secluded mountaintop viewing area. Along the way, your local guide will share knowledge of the flora and fauna that inhabit the area, along with history of the land. Because of its remote location and limited accessibility, Chichagof is home to some of the animals most often associated with Alaska, including the world’s largest brown bear population, estimated to be three bears per square mile. You might also see bald eagles soaring above, land otters, Sitka black-tail deer and red squirrels.

Enjoy Jamaica’s natural beauty while rafting down one of the most picturesque sections of the meandering Martha Brae River. On the way to the launch site, you will see the historical Falmouth Courthouse and St. Peter’s Anglican Church, both fine examples of Georgian-style architecture. During a brief stop in the village of Martha Brae, you will meander through a garden of medicinal herbs as a prelude to gliding down the river, time permitting. Once you board the two-person bamboo raft, you won’t have to do a thing but sit back and relax as the guide will pole the raft. The river winds through dense jungle and groves of bamboo, and the setting couldn’t be more tranquil. Along the way, the guide will point out indigenous flora such as the revered ackee tree, whose fruit is a key ingredient in Jamaica’s national dish: ackee and saltfish. Upon arriving at the farm, you will learn how many local fruits and coffee are grown, harvested and processed. You will also sample many of these products, which will enhance your understanding of their allure. More scenic vistas await at La Jarana Taina, where you can learn about the history of Dominican Rum, an exquisite experience where you can tangibly see the historical process of rum and learn about its current production, tasting and what makes it special for being Dominican Rum, in addition to seeing how the juice of a sugar cane is processed and try the so ancient casaba, made in the same way as our ancestors, after this cultural encounter visit La Catalina, a stop to see how the mountains and the sea make their best presentation to end our tour back to the ranch.

The road to the lodge winds through the wilds of Revillagigedo Island and passes an old sawmill and several salmon canneries that will offer a glimpse into the area’s past. Once you reach the waterfront lodge – which was originally a cannery bunkhouse – the attention will turn to food, especially seafood caught in the chilly depths of the surrounding sea. Following a short orientation on how best to operate an ATV in the Alaskan wilderness, you will set off on your outdoor adventure. Learn about, meet and interact with the most beloved mammal in the ocean - the bottlenose dolphin. Upon arrival, you’ll meet the trainers for an educational briefing. This program takes place in approximately 20-foot-deep water, in small groups of no more than 10, so everyone has the opportunity to meet the dolphins while in the water and to ask questions. Highlights include a petting and feeding session with the dolphins, the popular high speed 'foot push' and optional professional photo and DVD/video opportunity. Upon completion of your dolphin swim, stay and enjoy the beautiful and always calm lagoon beach.

Enjoy a once in a lifetime kiss and hug from one of our Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins. This is an interactive program that is fun and educational, ideal for non-swimmers and families with young kids.

Upon arrival at Sanctuary Bay, one of the most natural and largest protected dolphin facilities in the world, you will begin your dolphin encounter. Learn about these amazing creatures as our professional dolphin trainers conduct an educational orientation. Interact with these friendly dolphins while they splash and jump around you, and then step on to a 3 foot deep submerged platform where you will touch, kiss and hug a dolphin.

Before you depart, don’t forget to say hello to the many tortoise’s that live on the property and have your photo with one of the colorful parrots. Our photographers will be on hand to capture your time with the dolphins and photos are available through our website after your program.

Built in the early 1200s, it contains the relics of St. Andrew, which are kept in a subterranean crypt decorated with Baroque murals. The cathedral was constructed alongside an earlier one from the 9th century, and they are now joined into one, six-nave building. Also, leave time for shopping and a quick snack. Fried seafood in a hand-held cone makes a good choice for street food.
