Take advantage of this special promotion valid only during the month of May 2013. It’s new, it’s big and it’s fun for the entire family! Come play at Aquaventure, the centerpiece of the Atlantis Resort’s recent billion-dollar development. Containing over 20 million gallons of water, this non-stop water experience consists of thrilling new water slides, a mile long river ride with high intensity rapids, wave surges, and never-before-seen special effects. The excursion also includes access to the huge, open-air marine habitat where you can find over 50,000 fascinating sea creatures. Whether you prefer a thrilling ride through a shark filled pool or a gentle float on a never ending lagoon, you'll find it at Atlantis.
Note: Participants ages 3 years of age or younger receive free admission if accompanied by a participating paying adult (parent or guardian at least 18 years of age). There is a considerable amount of walking on this tour, approximately 0.4 mile. Participants must be at least 48” tall to ride the water slides. Lounge chairs, towels and life jackets are provided. Non-motorized water sports are available for rent. Guests should bring a credit card for drink and food purchases. The transportation for this tour is by bus, approximately 25 minutes each way depending on traffic conditions. Guests participating on an Atlantis Shore Excursion must arrive at the place and time stated on the Shore Excursion ticket. Atlantis tour tickets will not be honored at the resort. The last transfer back to the ship will be one hour before sailing time. Special rates are only available for ports of call dates (not sail dates), during the month of May 2013. This tour is only available on Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Gem.

Lucayan National Park encompasses 40 acres of mangrove swamps, sand dunes, broad beaches, a pine and palm forest. You’ll kayak in a protected creek through a mangrove forest for approximately 90 minutes and venture on a guided 1/4 mile nature walk. Learn about the history of the original Bahamian people. Enjoy a swim and light lunch under shelter at beautiful Gold Rock Beach.
Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age and weigh no more than 300 lbs. Two-person kayaks are used. Please wear your swimsuit and bring a towel. Protected footwear such as tennis shoes are highly recommended, no flip-flops please. Water-safe storage bags are provided so you may bring your camera. Lunch consists of do-it-yourself deli sandwiches, fruit, cookies, lemonade and water. Bring water and sun protection. Guests must sign a waiver release form.

This tour offers the ideal combination of sailing and snorkeling. After a short stroll, you’ll board your catamaran, which features a shaded lounge and spacious deck, for a cruise through historic Nassau Harbor en route to one of two spectacular reefs. Here, you’ll see natural coral reefs teaming with the ocean’s wildlife on a snorkel adventure. During your sail, you’ll receive your snorkel gear and instructions from the knowledgeable crew, who will accompany you into the water to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Unlimited rum punch is offered after snorkeling, and a full premium cash bar is available at an additional cost. Note: Participants must be at least 7 years of age to snorkel and in good physical condition. Parental discretion is needed for children under 7 to participate. Snorkeling takes place at a reef with a depth of approximately 5 to 15 feet. Swimming is not a requirement but it’s recommended. Participants are required to wear life vests at all times. Embark on an eco-adventure tour to Peterson’s Cay National Park on board Sunshine, a 45-foot motorized catamaran. Here, you’ll be briefed on safety instructions and snorkeling. Next, cruise along the shoreline to a shallow open coral reef, home to hundreds of colorful fish. You can lie right on the surface of the water and see a whole new world. After snorkeling at the reef, a short boat ride will bring you to the 1 1/2 acre island of Peterson’s Cay. Here you can sunbathe, swim, relax or even enjoy more snorkeling time on the sandy beach. Then, you’ll have lunch and witness a native conch cultural demonstration. Enjoy complimentary and unlimited Bahama Mama, sweetened ice tea and lemonade. This leisurely 13-mile bike tour takes you along the shoreline into the old settlements of Williams Town and Smith's Point. See the dolphins at their home in Sanctuary Bay and take in the local architecture and native flora. Finally, a bus ride takes you to colorful Port Lucaya Marketplace where you can shop before heading back to your ship. Immerse yourself in the legend of Atlantis during this exciting excursion. After an approximately 25-minute bus transfer to Paradise Island, you’ll be escorted to the resort for a guided exploration of Atlantis, to experience the most mystifying and spectacular resort to have risen from the sea. Discover the world’s largest marine habitat, and view over 50,000 sea animals representing 200 different species. Also explore the Dig, which will reveal how Atlantean culture flourished over 11,000 years ago. Come to discover a continent in just one day at Atlantis Paradise Island. At the conclusion of the guided portion of the tour, you’ll have some time on your own to return to the Dig and its exhibits, shop at the Marina Village, visit the casino, explore the hotel’s grand lobby or have a bite to eat at your own expense. Note: Participants ages 3 or younger receive free admission if accompanied by a participating paying adult (parent or guardian at least 18 years of age). This tour does not include access or use of the resort pool, beach or water slides and is not recommended for those with physical limitations. Although most walking is on level terrain, this is a walking tour and there is a considerable amount of walking involved. Come see dolphins, manatees, and the diversity of life paired with beautiful scenery. Begin with an easy paddle en route to the kayak launch site. Your tour guide will explain the significance of this endangered backwater estuary. Paddle the mangrove as osprey soar overhead, and cross expansive grass flats. Perhaps see the lagoon's top predator- the dolphin- working the flats. Mangroves and sea grass beds create an environment very conducive to the marine life, which supports the osprey, dolphins and other animals. More than 4,000 animal and plant species such as manatees, stingrays, sea turtles, seahorses, 700 species of fish and 310 species of birds, call the Indian River Lagoon "home". Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age. Sunscreen and a hat are recommended. Maximum guest’s combined weight per kayak is 500 lbs. Participants must be able to get in and out of the kayak on their own. A bottle of water will be given to guests. This tour returns to the pier and will not be available for guests disembarking or with a back to back sailing. less

Listen to a narrated tour which recants the history of one of the oldest waterfront cities in the western hemisphere. Arrive at the View-board site and listen as your experienced guide provides safety briefing and demonstration. Then, board your personal view-board and kick your way through some of the world’s most beautiful waters. Purchase some food to feed the fish and watch them gather around you. Also, enjoy the opportunity to snorkel for a closer look underwater or bask in the sun on the uncovered top deck of the catamaran.
