This tour gives you the opportunity to customize your visit to Boston to suit your needs and interests. You’ll begin with a 90-minute overview tour ending at Boston’s famous Quincy Market. From here you can spend time exploring on foot, transfer to a hop-on hop-off trolley, or return to the pier. Take in the highlights of Boston on this unique tour of city’s most important and historic sites via an upper deck trolley. The trolley features elevated seating for better viewing, as you pass all the places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom and a city of firsts. Pass through the heart of Boston and along a portion of the freedom trail to catch a glimpse of the well-known gold domed Old State House, the site of the Boston massacre, the King's Chapel, Granary Burying Ground, the Park Street Church, the expansive green of Boston Common, the historic North End, fashionable Newbury Street, Beacon Hill, Quincy Market, and the Prudential Tower. You’ll also catch a glimpse of the Charles River, USS Constitution or 'Old Ironsides' – the historic ship, launched in Boston in 1797 – and in the distance the Old North Church where two lanterns signaled the warning that the redcoats were on the march. At the conclusion of the scenic drive you have three options: You can stay on the trolley and return to the pier; you can stay at Quincy market to explore at your leisure; or you can board the Hop-on Hop-off Loop bus (ticket provided), giving you the most flexibility to experience Boston on you own schedule. If you choose to either stay at Quincy Market or take the Hop-on Hop-off Loop bus, you can return to the pier on the complimentary trolley which will depart from Quincy Market beginning at 2:00 pm through 5:00 pm. less

Experience the splendor of French Canada’s countryside as you drive into the foothills of the Laurentian Mountains to the renowned Lake Beauport area. Surrounded by emerald forests, a photo stop will be made to view the beauty of the lake and mountain scenery. Continuing toward the Beaupre Coast, a stop will be made at the magnificent Montmorency Falls. Cascading down a 272-foot (83 meter) cliff, Montmorency is one-and-a-half times as high as Niagara Falls. Coffee, tea and pastries will be served in the Montmorency Manor. Take a step back in time as you cross the bridge to the Ile d’Orleans where you’ll take a scenic drive through the picturesque villages of traditional rural Quebec. Passing the tip of the island, see the lovely 19th century resort homes of Quebec’s rich merchant class with spectacular views of the skyline of the city. The Quebec area is well-known for its production of maple syrup therefore, during the tour you’ll have the opportunity to visit an authentic sugar shack, learn about the production of the island’s maple products and sample the sweet maple taffy. Note: You’ll have free time to walk the nature trails along the falls. This tour is only available for Norwegian Dawn guests with flights departing after 3:00 pm out of Quebec Airport (YQB). Guests are responsible for ensuring their debarkation tours are compatible with their flight departure times. This tour does not necessarily drop off at all Norwegian Cruise Line program hotels, please check with the Shore Excursion staff onboard as to which hotel drop-offs are available. Guests have the option to book their flights through our Premium Air Department to ensure that flight departure times do not interfere with debark tours. Founded in 1753, Lunenburg has since been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of Nova Scotia’s most historic towns and a splendid example of a British Colonial settlement. While the drive is approximately 75 minutes, the wait is worth it, once you arrive in this charming scenic waterfront town. Enjoying the historic and colorful working waterfront, you can expect your tour guide to regale you with intriguing tales of shipbuilding, fishing, rum running, and even the buried treasure of Oak Island, all part of the local lore. You’ll also enjoy the Lunenburgers’ unique accent - no doubt the result of their Swiss and German forebears (German was spoken here well into the 1800s). You’ll have some time to explore on your own, perhaps to visit the Fisheries Museum of Lunenburg (small fee), where the 'Bluenose II', a replica of Nova Scotia’s famous racing schooner of the 1920s was built in 1963. Known as the Ambassador of Nova Scotia, the 'Bluenose I' graces the Canadian dime, and, when not offering tours from the Halifax waterfront, can be found docked here at her home wharf. Returning to Halifax, enjoy a drive through Mahone Bay, famous for its three waterfront churches. Note: Many of the older buildings in Lunenburg are not accessible to guests confined to a wheelchair. less

Home to the highest tides in the world, the Bay of Fundy has a beautiful and dramatic coastline, with scenic vistas that shift with the ebb and flow of the tide. This scenic tour includes a stop to explore a Bay of Fundy beach, as well as a visit to a working fishing wharf to learn about techniques of fisherfolk of the Bay of Fundy for catching lobster, herring and more. You’ll also stop by a picturesque waterfall on a river en route. Throughout your scenic tour, your local guide will entertain and inform you with facts and folklore about the Bay of Fundy. Learn about the way of life for those who make their living along the Bay of Fundy, as well as the fascinating effects of the Bay of Fundy tides and the varieties of wildlife that call the Bay of Fundy their home. less
