Enjoy a drive to the southern part of Lanzarote, passing the picturesque villages of Macher and Uga and crossing black lava streams before arriving to the southwest coast of the island. There you’ll make a photo stop by Los Hervideros where the sea water seems to boil in a volcanic cave. On your way to the Timanfaya National Park, you’ll stop for a short camel ride. The park is a natural museum of unique beauty. Bizarre craters, streams of lava and fields of ashes formed by eruptions during the 18th century are mixed here in a nearly unrealistic lunar landscape. Upon arrival to Islote de Hilario, a crater with the highest surface temperatures in the region, you’ll experience still-existing activity not far underground as you gather around for the fun demonstrations. The geothermal energy is so strong that water gushes up and dry weed catches fire within seconds. Board a coach to embark on a tour of the Fire Mountains called the "Lunar Route”, which goes deep inside the heart of the national park and lasts approximately 45 minutes. Through a recorded narration, you’ll learn about the history of the volcanic eruptions and see how slowly life conquers the inhospitable landscape with very few endemic plants. From here you’ll drive to the wine-growing area of La Geria where the locals have modified grape growing through the centuries in order to preserve the vines from the harsh natural elements and provide a special cultivation for the grapes that produce the famous Malvasia wine. These vines are grown inside dimple-like craters and surrounded by volcanic stone semi-circles (called Zocos), built for each individual vine to provide much needed protection from the fierce winds. Visit one of the local wine cellars for a taste of the local wine before the return drive to your ship. Note: Because Fire Mountains is the most visited attraction, to avoid delays at the entrance, tour order may vary but all mentioned sites will be covered. No professional camera or video equipment is allowed at Timanfaya National Park, including the camel area. Comfortable shoes and a light jacket are recommended. less

Visit Stockholm’s oldest and coziest quarters, the Old Town of Gamla Stan. Witness the historic elegance of the exterior of the dominating Royal Palace, and travel through the narrow, twisting alleys and cobblestone streets. You’ll also see Stortorget and the Great Square, the hub of the Old Town, dominated by the old Stock Exchange, today housing the Nobel Museum and the Swedish Academy. Rejoin your coach and continue through the city center and on to the Nordic Hotel in the heart of the city, where the world’s first permanent ice bar is located. The interior is kept at -5° Centigrade all year round. The whole interior, including glasses, is made of pure, clear ice from the Torne River in Northern Sweden. A complimentary drink in an ice glass will be served and the staff will tell you more about the bar and its construction. After tasty drinks you’ll drive to Djurgarden, a favorite getaway spot for Stockholm residents. In the Vasa Museum, you’ll see the Swedish warship ‘Vasa’, once considered the pride of Sweden’s navy. The present museum is built around the restored 17th century warship, which sank in Stockholm’s inner harbor on her maiden voyage in 1628. Its salvage in 1961, with more than 12,000 objects on board, is one of the most important events in marine archaeology. Note: You’ll spend approximately 25 minutes in the ice bar. Depending on the licensing laws, non-alcoholic drinks will be served if the bar is unable to offer vodka. Tour sequence may vary in order to avoid congestion at the venues. There are cobblestone streets in the Old Town. You’ll have some free time for lunch on your own in the Old Town or City Centre. less

Following a delicious Mexican buffet-style breakfast and entertainment onboard, you’ll stop at Majahuitas beach. Here, you can take a banana boat ride, kayak, snorkel, ride boogie boards, play volleyball or just relax and soak up the sun. Kids will enjoy the treasure hunt along with the buried pirate treasure chest. Your 4-wheel drive vehicle awaits shipside to take you on an exciting adventure of the Berber villages, not easily accesssible by other means. Passing through the colorful villages of Zaghouan and Bon Ficha, catch your first glimpse of a Berber village. The village of Takrouna is a natural and historical site, which covers the crest of the hill. From its elevated position, 656 feet/200 meters above sea level, enjoy spectacular views of the Gulf of Hammamet and the Zaghouan Mountain. Together with Jeradou and Zriba, Takrouna forms a group of Berber villages. Your guide will show you the distinctive homes and explain the lifestyle of these Berber families. There is an opportunity to visit the local museum and sample typical mint tea as part of this experience. Leaving Takrouna, venture off-the-beaten track on dirt roads that take you past the villages of Zriba and Geradu. This wilderness adventure gives you a close up look at Tunisia's fascinating natural "off-roading" landscape.
Note:This tour is not suitable for guests using wheelchairs, with walking difficulties, conditions or injuries which can be aggravated by off- roading and bumpy roads; pregnant women are not allowed due to off-road conditions. The approximately 60 minute off-road drive is subject to suitable weather conditions. There is an approximately 90 minute drive from La Goulette to Takrouna where restroom facilities are available. Each vehicle has a driver, there is no commentary during the drive, the guide will give explanations at each stop.

From this vantage point, you’ll be able to gaze out across the Catania Gulf. You’ll have some free time to enjoy the major attraction - the crater, and the remnants of the awe-inspiring streams of lava. Note: The uphill walk is approximately 650 feet from the coach parking to the crater area. For the most adventurous, this is the perfect tour to correlate the disastrous eruption of Vesuvius and the destruction of the splendid city of Pompeii. Visit the famous city destroyed by a volcanic eruption and learn how its inhabitants lived. Learn how prior to the eruption of Vesuvius, Pompeii was a thriving city, teeming with privileged rich people and ordinary slaves. See their homes and places of work during the days of the Roman Empire. The city was prosperous due to the region’s fertile soil. Hike up to the volcano’s crater and see the rivers of lava where crevices still exude fumes and heat. Vesuvius has erupted many times, but the eruption that stays in the mind of millions of people is the one in 79 A.D. Take in stunning views of Naples and the bay from the top. Time permitting, you’ll visit a cameo factory near Pompeii. Note: The tour will not operate for Norwegian Jade winter sailings from the end of November through mid-April. The steep gravel path to the crater is about 550 yards and takes approximately 40 minutes to walk round-trip. This tour is not recommended for guests with a history of heart disease or high blood pressure and does not include lunch. Guests should bring along local currency to purchase a snack outside of Pompeii. During summer months expect extreme heat, crowded venues and long lines. We recommend that you dress in layers and bring bottled water. In the event of bad weather and the closure of Mt. Vesuvius crater, an orientation drive of Naples will be done instead. less

Immerse yourself in nature during a trekking adventure to Ichkeul National Park; one of the most important areas of migrating birds and home to Lake Ichkeul, the last great freshwater lake of a chain that once stretched the length of North Africa. Ichkeul is situated on the Mateur plain. The area was designated as a biosphere reserve in 1977. The park contains the largest freshwater area in the country and the most important water supply for Tunisia.
Its semi-arid flora encompasses about 400 species of pan Mediterranean plants. Different habitats form this natural preserve, such as mountain, foothills, fresh water marshes and lake with its reed beds. Follow your guide into the park and during your walk, you may discover various animals that roam freely in the reserve. Switching from nature to ancient history, you’ll drive to the Roman ruins and museum at Utica. This old Phoenician settlement was founded around 1100 BC and contains Roman and Punic ruins. The remains of several houses reveal decorative flooring dating back to Phoenician, Roman and Byzantine times. The museum displays mosaic floors from the same periods.
Note: This tour is not suitable for guests using wheelchairs or with walking difficulties. There is extensive walking, approximately 3 hours on uneven terrain, cobbled and rough Roman roads. Sightings of wildlife are likely, but not guaranteed.

Enjoy the gorgeous scenery and views of the Corfiot countryside on your way to the Avlaki Bay. The stables are located in a shady olive grove by the sea. Your ride sets off across the wild headland and along Avlaki’s lanes and tracks towards the beach. The trail offers riders some magnificent views of the beautiful peninsula of Erimitis and passes through paths bordered by many beautiful trees, flowers and shrubs and a wide variety of wild herbs including bay, oregano, thyme, mint and myrtle. From a vantage point you’ll also have the chance to admire the Albanian coastline and enjoy a unique view of Caparelli Island which houses an old Venetian lighthouse. You’ll then ride down to a pretty beach of the area where you’ll stop for few minutes before retracing the same route, which will bring you back to the riding center. Here you’ll be helped to dismount from your horse and enjoy a cool and refreshing drink. Continue to the long sandy beach of Avlaki (Roda) for some free time. There are facilities for swimming, sunbathing and water sports; sun beds and umbrellas are available to rent on your own from local concessionaires. A few steps from the beach, you’ll find sea front taverns where you can enjoy a snack or refreshment (at your own expense). Note: Participants must be at least 14 years of age. Temperatures can reach extreme highs during summer months; we recommend that you drink a lot of water, use suitable sun protection and dress in layers. Depending on the total number of participants the tour may be divided into smaller sub groups and may be performed in a different sequence however all features and inclusions will remain unchanged. less

The setting of this adventure is the Cetina River with first and second degree rapids as well as peaceful flat waters that interchange during your approximately 3 hours of dynamic fun. These currents are ideal for the physically fit beginner. All you need is a sense of adventure to enjoy nature at its best. For thousands of years the Cetina River has been shaping the canyon while creating miraculous forms in the stone of its river bed. Crystal-clear river water with a pleasant swimming temperature, offers you a true experience of untouched nature with up to approximately 590 foot-high cliffs (180 meters), cascades, lakes, underground tunnels and the 131-foot high waterfall named Gubavica (40 meters). Finally, you’ll enjoy a picnic style lunch before the return drive to Split. Note: We recommend that you bring water shoes, a towel, a swimsuit and sunscreen. Canoes hold 2-3 passengers each and there will be 1 guide for every 3 canoes. Participants must be at least 14 years of age and the maximum weight for each passenger is 242 lbs. (110 kg). This private canopy reserve is set high in the remote, verdant wilderness of the Sierra Madre. Feel the adrenaline rush as you whoosh from platform to platform, 90 feet above the rainforest floor. A series of thrilling zip lines gives you maximum opportunity to marvel at the beautiful, lush setting as you effortlessly traverse above huge tropical trees, wild orchids and native birds and reptiles. Hanging bridges built into treetops are reminiscent of Tarzan and there is even a gorilla swing for you to try. Two incredible rappel descents to solid ground completes your breathtaking adventure. As safety is top priority, guides have been extensively trained and equipment is the best, with not one, but two safety ropes for your security. This is the most exciting way to explore the depths of the tropical rainforest, for thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike!
