Can I make online payments?

We booked a November 2019 cruise through a travel agent, and so far have only made a small deposit.I don't see anywhere online to make payments for my outstanding balance. Do I make all payments through the travel agent or is it not showing because it's so far out?
Asked by: DaveInVirginia
It is my understanding that if you booked using a travel agent you will need to pay directly to them and they will then pay the cruise line.

Distilled Water Available?

I use a CPAP machine. Ideally, distilled water should be used in it. I certainly don't want to travel with a gallon jug of water in our luggage, though. Is distilled water available onboard?
Asked by: DaveInVirginia
Yes, but you have to let them know. Last time I sailed there was a form to fill out to request it. it was waiting for us when we got to our cabin. call the 1800 number and ask.

WHEN IS THE 20% GRATUITY AND BEVERAGE SERVICE CHARGE ADDED TO OUR ACCOUNT?

Is this a charge that is applied to every check or is it from a daily total, or at the end of the cruise?
Asked by: 3JandA
The gratuity on beverage and dining packages is added to your account at the time you purchase the package or receive it as part of a promotional offer. You should see the charge as a line entry in the accounting section of your cruise documents. The only other charges incurred with the beverage or dining packages are if you exceed the maximum limits of the plan or if you order a beverage while the ship is still inside the jurisdiction of an embarkation port where sales tax or value-added tax may be charged. If you do not have a beverage package your account will be charged for the cost of the drink plus a gratuity for each order you place at a bar or restaurant. Any charges you have incurred will be paid when you settle your account at the end of the cruise.

Laundry.

Is there a Washer and Dryer for guest use? Some ships have them and I can't find out about the Star.
Asked by: GramR
There are no guest laundry facilities on any NCL ships. Dry cleaning and laundry service is available, however, at prices similar to what you might pay at a hotel. There also usually will be a laundry special offered around the middle of your cruise when you can have one full bag of clothing laundered for a single low price.

Our suite includes butler and concierge service. What can we expect the butler to do? And the concierge?

Asked by: Travmom
The Butler can unpack and pack your suitcase for you, but his primary duties are to bring you afternoon snacks, any room service items you order, DVDs you may request, and so forth. The Concierge can help you with dinner and entertainment reservations, make sure you get priority seating for the theater and access to the tender boats (if your cruise requires them), and make every effort to make your cruise more comfortable.

Is there a cigar bar on the Star

If so, where on the ship? Thanks
Asked by: cruisingmary
They used to have a fantastic one for many years and I enjoyed it for the 7 times we have sailed on this ship, but when they refurbished the ship they poked their finger in the eye of us cigar smokers and dumped it. Now we will have to find a designated smoking area out on deck to smoke a cigar. Defiantly a huge step down and a big slap in the face to this Platinum Member. If my wife was not insisting that the Bliss was too big for her we would never sail on the Star again for this.

Is there any cabin space lost with a connecting stateroom?

We have a cabin that shows it is a connecting stateroom, which we really did not want or need. Will we lose any space or storage with the extra door in the room? We are in a family ocean view.
Asked by: Millegirl
The space you lose is negligible, about 24 inches wide and one inch deep - the thickness of the connecting door. You still have the same closet, desk, and table space as other cabins of the same category, just a one inch "bump" along the wall near the foot of the bed. The connecting door in your stateroom, as well as the one in the adjacent room, will remained locked throughout your cruise unless both rooms are reserved together and the stateroom attendant unlocks them.
