OVERVIEW

This tour is intended for guests who have limited mobility, rely on a cane or walker, or for guests’ companions.

Travel around Malaga at a comfortable pace that will offer plenty of time to explore the city’s landmark cathedral, Roman amphitheater and most inviting plazas. You will begin at the Plaza de la Constitución, a square named for the Constitution of 1812 that restricted the power of the Spanish monarchy. Shopping along the pedestrian-only street Calle Marques de Larios follows, after which you will visit Malaga Cathedral. Although construction started in 1528, the cathedral’s second planned tower still hasn’t been built, giving rise to the cathedral’s “one-armed woman” nickname. In time, you will arrive at the ruins of the Roman amphitheater. Built in the 1st century BC, it was eventually forgotten until the Moors used some of the stone blocks to build the Alacazaba fortress. Later, you will see the extravagant exterior of the Gibralfaro Castle on the way to Plaza de Merced. Pablo Picasso was born in a home on the square that is now a museum.
