Scenic Oslo - Debark (Ending At Airport)

OVERVIEW

Settle in for a leisurely and immensely panoramic drive through Oslo with a few stops along the way at attractions best seen close up. You will pass most every landmark that defines the capital, ranging from medieval Akershus Castle to the boldly designed Opera House that spurred the redevelopment of Oslo’s waterfront district. Enlightening commentary will describe the key sights, which include the Royal Palace, the Parliament Building and the Nobel Institute, a classic mansion house where the Nobel Peace Prize laureates are selected. You will also drive through Vigeland Sculpture Park, a collection of hundreds of outdoor sculptures that symbolize every aspect of human life. It is the world’s largest such park that features the work of only one artist, visionary Gustav Vigeland. In time, you will stop to snap photos of forested Bygdøy peninsula and the towering Holmenkollen Ski Jump. Afterwards, you will debark at the Gardermoen Airport.
