Everybody loves friendly Rays! Enjoy two great ray activities -a personal encounter plus shore-side snorkeling. Then relax and have fun at a private shore club with its resident, friendly critters, and water trampoline. Mere minutes from your ship, you’ll be provided with snorkeling gear and briefed on equipment and the rays. Your guide works with small groups to give you personal attention.

First, you’ll encounter the rays in a shallow area and get to feed them if you like. Then, you'll move to a larger area for snorkeling with a larger school of rays, nurse sharks, and all their colorful fish friends. Finally, you’ll have some beach club leisure time, complete with a snack bar, souvenirs and photos available to complete your experience.

The Island Zipline Adventure course is a combination of the Osprey Zipline plus the Seahawk Zip to give you six high-flying zips plus a series of V-net bridges, chimney climbs and cargo nets, designed to challenge but not overwhelm your physical and mental strength. Tour starts with an elevator ride to the top of the Flighthouse.

With platforms at 120-feet above ground and top speed of over 50 mph, your senses will be dazed with adrenaline as you zip out over the beach and reef of Great Stirrup Cay. The V nets allow you to transverse from one zipline to another while providing you with bird’s-eye view of your fellow guests, the many islands to the South or the turquoise waters and their inhabitants below.

For those feeling extra strong and confident we’ve added an almost vertical cargo net climb or by-pass the cargo net and continue the course via the chimney climb and V net bridges.

Ride through the wilderness in a Utility Terrain Vehicle designed for off-road adventure and admire the majestic panoramas while driving to and from Mahoney Lake. On the way to the base camp, you will enjoy spectacular views of George Inlet and Tongass National Forest. Still nothing rivals the exhilaration of hopping into the 2-seat or 4-seat UTV and following the guide caravan-style up the mountainous 5-mile trail to Mahoney Lake. Whoever drives on the way up will switch positions and ride as a passenger on the way down. The serene lake and roaring Mahoney Falls are at the end of the trail, and both are well worth viewing. During stops, the guide will offer commentary about the history and culture of Ketchikan, including the flora and fauna. Back at the White River base camp, you can relive the experience while dining on chili and a reindeer sausage. Drive a jeep through Costa Maya and discover the perfect combination of lush jungle, turquoise blue sea, isolated terrain and white sand beaches where you’ll enjoy a Mexican lunch. Hop into your Jeep and caravan through the quiet fishing village of Mahahual to see the striking natural beauty. Hold on to your hats as you head into the jungle on a bumpy off-road adventure. You’ll encounter endless stretches of beach dotted with small fishing villages.

After an hour’s drive down the coastline you’ll arrive at a Tequila Hacienda, where you will learn about the process making of this Mexica spirit. Then it is time to head to Explora Beach, a tranquil white powder sand beach. Enjoy a Mexican buffet lunch prepared especially for you. Swim in the clear blue water, stroll down the shore. You’ll have free time to unwind before it’s time to jump back into your vehicle for the return back to the ship’s pier (return to the pier takes place by land transportation). Spoil yourself with this Mayan holistic experience, releasing energies and opening up for a spiritual cleanse. Your host will meet you at the end of the pier and walk you through the port to start your relaxing day. Different timings will be provided. Take a bus ride from your ship to the West End. After a brief orientation, you’ll receive your mask, fin snorkel and snorkel vest. Jump into the beautiful waters of Half Moon Bay to explore this colorful underwater world and the variety of fish in Roatans first Marine Park. Before heading to your kayaking experience, enjoy a great lunch including fresh fruits and quesadillas, as well as water, lemonade and iced-tea all day.

After a briefing on kayaking and after receiving your life preserver, take a kayak trip down to West Bay where you’ll stop on the beach. You can take a swim or go on a nature hike and visit a banana plantation. You’ll have shopping time in West End village at the end of your trip.

Snorkel one of the newest dive and snorkel destinations on the Mexican coast, Costa Maya. Once reserved for the most ardent divers, it’s now available for beginners and advanced snorkelers alike. This tour was designed to give snorkelers an easy entrance to the water while being able to see an abundance of sea life at depths of between 3 to 20 feet of water. The adventure begins at the pier when your English speaking guide escorts you to the Beach Escape Beach Club. After you have settled in, check in for your preferred tour time, which are available on an hourly basis. You’ll receive snorkel gear and be given an in-depth information and a safety briefing.

Your guide will assist you into the water until you feel comfortable. Experience the incredible array of tropical marine life such as parrot, butterfly and angel fish, and a possible glimpse of an eagle ray. After the snorkeling portion of your tour, you’ll be given free time to relax at the beach club before returning to the ship. This tour includes an open national bar, beach chairs, and kayaks. The Beach Escape is located on the boardwalk of the Fisherman’s Village so don’t miss out on walking around, checking out the sites and getting to know the locals.

The Seahawk is another name for the Osprey bird of prey - and this one is our star attraction: 2,975 feet of open air, over the water ziplining fun! With a starting height of over 110 feet - don't worry, you'll take an elevator to get to the top; the 1,429-foot zip provides awesome views of the beach, reefs and surrounding islands help to distract the thought of launching yourself over the edge into the wild blue yonder.

Once you launch, open your eyes! Take in the blue hues of the Bahamian waters and watch for the marine life as you zip over coral reefs descending lower and lower finally landing adjacent to the Silver Cove lagoon.

The return is a includes a 105-foot V-net bridge, a 25-foot chimney climb and for those with the mental and physical stamina try your hand at the 36-foot cargo net climb stationed 40 feet above the ground. Two additional long zips between these obstacles provide additional rushes of adrenaline and some great adventurous bragging rights!

Your guide will meet you at the Kayak Center to escort you to the staging area for an orientation and safety instruction. The protected waters of Port Frederick are yours to explore as you set off from the beach at Icy Strait Point in your two person wilderness sea kayak. Led by your safety certified, local guide, you'll paddle along the Hoonah waterfront enroute to quieter waters where bald eagles are often seen. Keep your eyes open and your spirit of adventure high throughout this 2 1/2 hour tour as humpback whales have been known to feed along the very same route you'll be paddling.

There is no better way to observe animals in their natural habitats without disturbing Alaska’s delicate ecosystems. Although the sightings vary from day to day, you can expect to see harbor seals, sea lions and playful sea otters, the smallest of all marine mammals. Sea otters don’t have blubber; instead they are covered with two layers of exceptionally thick fur, which keep them warm. You may also spot brown bears along the shore and eagles overhead.
