A Day In The Village Of “A”

You'll visit Nusfjord, one of Norway’s oldest and best preserved fishing villages. The village of A, was once one of the most important fishing villages in the area and now most of it is a museum. You’ll see the old bakery, boat houses and fisherman’s cabins.

Departing Vestvagoy Island, you’ll ride through the underwater tunnel to Flakstad Island, passing the little red church built in 1780 made of driftwood and believed to have come from Siberia. Visit the village of Nusfjord, one of Norway’s oldest and best preserved fishing villages. You’ll have time for a walk and a visit to the village store. Continue to the village of Reine, surrounded by beautiful mountains, en route there will be a stop to take a look at the bird cliff, by the side of the road.

Next, you’ll head to the village of A, once one of the most important fishing villages in the area - now most of it is a museum. You’ll see the old bakery, boat houses, fisherman’s cabins and the place where cod liver oil was produced, which you’ll be able to taste when visiting the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum in A. Your tour includes a lunch buffet with hot and cold dishes, desserts and coffee at a village restaurant.
