OVERVIEW

Let yourself be impressed by a lunar landscape unique in the world, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, and discover the best kept secrets of local viticulture under the guidance of professional sommeliers. Guided visit in one of the most states of the art wineries in the Canary Islands: The internationally known winery Bodega Stratvs. We will visit its cutting-edge wine cellar and laboratories embedded in high modern architecture that maintains the local spirit and culture. We will learn everything about the unique wine growing technique that has been developed in Lanzarote and created a breath-taking landscape that has been rewarded by the New York Museum of Modern Art as an “entire artwork” in the 1960´s. Of course, you will taste their wines, variations of its award-winning wines will help to perceive the wide range of its natural and exotic flavors. After the visit guests will enjoy a traditional tapas selection, featuring local cheeses and Iberian cured meats. Fundamentally traditional products produced locally at the “Finca de Uga”. But, before enveloping all your senses with our exquisite gastronomic experience, we will discover the famous international architect and artist Cesar Manrique, who designed most of the most emblematics places in Lanzarote such as “Jameos del agua” and“The Cactus garden”. Additionally, we will be able to visit César Manrique’s casa-Museo del Campesino: A Tribute to Lanzarote’s Tradition and Culture. Located in the geographical center of Lanzarote, in the municipality of San Bartolomé, the Casa-Museo del Campesino is César Manrique’s tribute to the farmers of the island, who faced the most challenging conditions to bring life to the land. The Casa-Museo del Campesino offers a journey through traditional architecture, agriculture, crafts, and gastronomy, and is completed by the Monumento a la Fecundidad (Monument to Fertility), an avant-garde work where Manrique paid his personal homage.
