Travel by panoramic coach on a tour that offers fascinating insights on the lives of those who make the sometimes-harsh landscape of Iceland’s Westfjords their home. Beginning from the pier, you’ll drive through the streets of Isafjordur and out along the coastal road for a tour of wondrously remote Bolungarvik, a fishing village towered over by its surrounding mountains. Nearby, you’ll stop at the outdoor Ósvör Museum, where a century-old fisherman’s hut has been restored, complete with the tools of the trade – and the fisherman.

On another leg of the journey, you’ll find yourself up amidst breathtaking views of the magnificent mountains of the Djup, largest of the West Fjords and the Buna River. Not far from that spot, you’ll stop to admire a beautiful stepped waterfall in Tunguskogur and take an opportunity to taste the freshest, clearest mountain water you may ever have encountered. Back in Isafjordur, you’ll stop in at the Maritime and Folk Museum, which calls one of the town’s oldest and best-preserved houses its home. The museum presents an excellent collection of artifacts related to the region’s maritime history – as well as a sizable accordion collection. Gotta have something to do during those long winters.

Spend several relaxing hours at an organic farm, where you will tour the grounds and participate in workshops that demonstrate how traditional foods are made.

After departing from the pier, you will enjoy a meandering drive to the ecological farm Can Muson on the island’s southern coast. The fruits and vegetables grown here are 100% organic, the details of which you will discover while touring the grounds.

The produce is often sold right out of the fields at Can Muson. Chances are, you will see visitors picking their own produce such as garden lettuce, strawberries and herbs. The organic produce is also used to make traditional culinary products that range from virgin olive oil and tomato sauce to goat cheese and sponge cake.

As you meander about the serene 16-acre farm, you can expect to encounter free-roaming rabbits, chickens, pigs and hens. The animals are bred on the property in humane conditions.

After a thorough tour of Can Muson, you will join a workshop to learn how some of the organic products are made using ancestral methods. One of the most popular workshops will demonstrate how to create Hierbas Ibicencas, a renowned Ibiza spirit made with herbs such as fennel, chamomile, rosemary and sage.

The anise-flavored liqueur is often sipped neat or mixed with cranberry juice, simple sugar and lemon juice in a traditional Ibiza Sunset cocktail.

The island of Mykonos is world famous for its stunning scenic beauty comprised of windmills, sparking bays, superb beaches, white houses and churches with their colorful blue and red domes. You'll pass by Ornos Beach, one of the most cosmopolitan beaches on the island with an abundance of luxurious hotels, tavernas and yachts mooring offshore.

You’ll make a short photo stop at the beach of Kalafatis to experience one of the island's beautiful beaches and to enjoy the breathtaking view. As you head to the center of the island, you'll visit the village of Ano Mera and the Monastery Panayia Tourliani. You’ll also have a chance to enjoy ouzo and Greek appetizers in the peaceful little square of the village.

Discover the best of Corfu on this tour. You’ll tour the island, visit a stunning palace and enjoy a traditional lunch with live entertainment at a local taverna. Drive through Corfu and arrive at Mon Repos Palace built by order of Empress Elizabeth of Austria and completed in 1891. The empress had fallen in love with the natural beauty of the island during her 1861 visit and also developed a great appreciation for Greek history and mythology.

After a guided visit of the grounds and palace, you’ll continue to the traditional village of Kinopiastes. You´ll wander through the “Poble Espanyol”, an open-air architectural museum, which was built for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition. It consists of 117 full-scale buildings, which are replicas of the most characteristic buildings from all over Spain. There will be free time in the Old Quarter to explore, shop or have lunch on your own while strolling its narrow streets and handsome squares, lined with medieval buildings contemporary shops, bohemian artist workshops and cool bars and restaurants.

Visit an organic aloe vera farm and discover how this succulent plant is sustainably grown in harmony with the environment. Aloe vera thrives in Fuerteventura’s rich volcanic soil as you will see firsthand at Verdeaurora, a family-owned bio farm that follows agricultural practices that respect the environment. No chemical fertilizers, pesticides, hormones or antibiotics are ever used in the production of the aloe vera, which help to maintain the fertility of the soil and reduce water consumption. You will watch, as one of the farmers demonstrates how to extract the juice from the leaves and preserve it. Although used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years, aloe vera has plenty of other applications, including as an ingredient in cosmetics, soap, shampoo and even drinks. Verdeaurora has also minimized its energy use by installing solar panels and by investing in renewable resources. The farm has even created an ornithological reserve to protect the birds on Fuerteventura.

Discover how technological innovations are being used to enhance the natural world at Spain’s only biotechnical botanical park. It will be an eye-opening experience as you wander through the gardens that replicate Ibiza’s seven natural habitats. Along the way, you will learn how atmospheric generators produce drinking water from vapor in the air and how a photobioreactor can synthesize organic matter such as algae to release its oxygen. The park’s vegetable piano—the world’s first—is particularly ingenious, as the vegetables act as biological antennas by converting frequencies from humans into a light-and-music show. Nearby, you will find Santa Gertrudis, a small, whitewashed town that first became popular in the 1960s as a haven for artists. Bruges is an exquisitely preserved Medieval town. The general prosperity, visible in the opulence of the mansions and civic buildings, lasted until the end of the 15th century.

After a 30-minute drive from the port, you arrive in Bruges where your guided walk will start. Often called Die Scone or 'the beautiful', the charm of this lovely Medieval city will capture you immediately. Smaller and more contained than many other old Flemish cities, Bruges gives the impression that you have stepped back in time. Your guide will walk with you through the narrow, twisting cobbled streets, passing by picturesque scenes of ancient buildings, tree-lined canals and gabled facades. See the bustling marketplace, Belfry Tower, the Town Hall and the Chapel of the Holy Blood. The highlight of this walking tour will undoubtedly be a 30-minute canal tour. While sitting back in a small boat, you'll enjoy this short canal boat ride along the serene waterways of this romantic historical city. Immerse yourself in the rich history of intriguing Portimão with an enlightening visit to a museum and a guided walk through its quaint Old Town, where you’ll discover intriguing landmarks that survived the ravages of the 1755 earthquake that leveled Lisbon. Meander through narrow streets and find the stalwart Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, which still retains its original 15th-century Gothic doorway, buttresses and gargoyles. Note the equally magnificent later additions, including signature 17th-century azulejo tiles and a regal statue of Saint Peter the Apostle that is lavishly adorned with ivory and wood crucifixes.

You’ll explore the Convento do Colégio dos Jesuítas and the mausoleum of Diogo Gonçalves, a nobleman who funded the church’s construction a century before the quake, and revel in some free time to shop or further examine the city’s churches. Delve into a wealth of exhibits at the Museu de Portimão, housed in a former fish-canning factory on the picturesque Arade River, and learn how early settlements in the area were altered by Roman and Islamic occupations. You’ll long remember the treasures to be found in Portimão’s endlessly captivating Old Town.

Venture into the beautiful Thingvellir national park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site only about 30 miles from Reykjavik, and ranking at the top of Iceland’s attractions. This national park offers outstanding sceneries of mountains surrounding a vast lava plain covered in green moss and wild flowers. Head to the Geyser area where you’ll see hissing springs, bubbling pools and other geothermal phenomena. Lunch will be served nearby, amongst these scenic surroundings.

Another highlight of your day is the Gullfoss waterfall. The ‘Golden Waterfall’ is the most famous of the country’s many waterfalls. Here, the river Hvita drops 96 feet in two falls, creating an awesome spectacle. Being located on an old magma chamber, Hveragerdi is notorious not only for its abundance of hot springs, which heat the community’s greenhouse industry, but also for its earthquakes.

When we return to Reykjavík we’ll make one last stop at Perlan, the Pearl before returning to the pier. Perlan has a viewing deck that offers great panoramic views over Reykjavik, perfect for taking photos or just relaxing and enjoying the view. Lastly, enjoy a scenic drive of the city on your way back to your ship.
