Your affable host is named Cedric and he will take great pride in showing you a typical day in his life. He likes to bring guests to the local bazaar, the post office and to his office to meet his employees. Few experiences offer more insight into daily life, as Cedric has no pretensions or hidden agendas-he simply wants you to fully understand the Mangalorean culture. Much of it revolves around food, as you will discover when dining on a homecooked meal with Cedric's tightly knit family. You can expect to be served curry dishes, brown rice, unleavened chapati bread and exotic accompaniments. Before parting, Cedric will bring you to his favorite tobacco shop to watch thin beedi cigarettes being hand-rolled.
