Top Spring Break Cruise Destinations

Spring break is notorious for parties and unforgettable experiences, but most importantly, it gives students a chance to unwind after mid-terms and replenish themselves for the research papers and exams to come. While this means non-stop partying for many, for others it's a chance to travel, explore, and learn about the world while relaxing and preparing for future studies. No matter what type of spring break cruise you’re looking for, these are some of the best 7-day or fewer itineraries to make your college experience even more memorable.

Cruise to Hawaii: Waikiki Beach

#1. Cruceros a Hawái

If you want to get far away from home or stay close to home, you might want to try out one of our Cruceros a Hawái for your next spring break vacation. The Crucero en Hawái desde Honolulu, 7 días starts with embarkation in Honolulu and leads to two days in Kahului, Maui, one day in Hilo, one day in Kona, and two days in Nawiliwili, Kauai. This lineup gives cruisers a comprehensive taste of the lush state of Hawaii from Kahului's waterfalls to Kona’s wildlife attractions to Nawiliwili’s surfing spots and watersports.

While the weather isn't as warm in Hawaii as other locations during this time of the year, it's still warm enough for many outdoor activities, including water sports and beach parties. It's also a great time of year to experience the islands without the dense summer tourist crowds or the overwhelming humidity. One thing spring breakers should look out for, however, is spring rainfall, which can be very unpredictable in Hawaii during the months of March and April.

Cruise to Mexico: Cabo San Lucas

#2. Cruceros a México

Few destinations evoke mental imagery of spring break like Cabo, Mexico, one of the featured stops on the Crucero en la Riviera Mexicana desde Los Ángeles, 7 días. After embarking and spending two serene days at sea, cruisers dock in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco for a day where they can hang out on the beaches, snorkel, surf, scuba dive, whale watch, and visit the town’s shops, restaurants, and bars.

port stop in Mazatlan is next on the itinerary and also one of the most iconic locations in Mexico for tourists and spring breakers. This resort town features an over thirteen-mile long boardwalk, sprawling beaches, old historical sites like the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, museums, and food markets to satisfy your spring break cravings. The last day spent cruising Cabo San Lucas offers all of the things you would expect from a resort beach town including water sports, outdoor cantinas and restaurants, swimming with dolphins, and parties on the Playa El Medano, one of the town’s main beaches.

Cruise to St. Thomas USVI

#3. Cruceros por el Caribe

Peak season for cruising The Caribbean falls between mid-December and mid-April, which includes the weeks when spring break falls for most colleges and universities. Caribbean cruises are warm and sunny and make the perfect getaway for those coming from cold weather, and they also provide ample opportunities for partying and socializing.

Our 7-Day Eastern Caribbean Cruise from Orlando gives spring breakers the chance to visit three different islands in the span of seven days, each offering its own charm and attractions for all kinds of travelers. After embarking in Orlando (Puerto Cañaveral), cruisers spend two days at sea indulging in nightlife, entertainment, dining, and ship adventures like rock climbing and water sliding before they dock in Tortola for the first official island day. Tortola is the largest of the British Virgin Islands and offers cruisers white sand beaches like Cane Garden Bay, a taste of islander food, and diving attractions like a mid-19th-century shipwreck.

The second island day is spent on St. Thomas of the U.S. Virgin Islands, which also offers one of a kind snorkeling spots and historic buildings dating back to the 17th century that now serve as museums. If you're just there to party and aren't interested in history lessons, you won't be disappointed by the spring break beach gatherings at the various beaches around St. Thomas. However, perhaps the best part of the cruise is the last day stop at the Great Stirrup Cay in The Bahamas, a Norwegian Cruise Line island reserved exclusively for cruise passengers. Once a pirate hideout, this true paradise features sandy beaches, snorkeling spots, coconut palms, and wild lizards and crabs.
