How to NOT use Specialty Dining Package?

I have a 2 night dining package that I want to use on Nights 6 & 7 of my cruise. However there are other specialty restaurants that I want to eat at before those nights. How do I book and eat at a specialty restaurant on Night 2 & 3 without having those applied as my 2 meals covered by the package?
Asked by: RTM79
You simply tell them when you check in for dining that night that you DO NOT want to use your specialty dining package for that meal. Then you pay out of pocket / a la carte.

Is there an in-room coffee maker?

Asked by: Sallyanny
Was on the Dawn this past April-May and we asked our room steward and he brought us one and refilled with supplies for it everyday.

Where can I find price for the spa?

Asked by: Stephaniew
Just adding to the previous answer... you can find some pretty good deals on spa services while the ship is in port. I always wait until a port day and schedule then -- savings of up to 50% are available on a regular basis.

can we schedule excursions through a third party provider or do all excursions have to be scheduled through the cruise line?

Asked by: bw4520
I will join in here and say yes you can use third parties, but the "ship will wait for you" guarantee if you book through NCL is valuable. I've cruised NCL several times and twice have been on NCL excursions that were late. Once due to a truck on fire on the freeway outside of Rome during our return to ship, necessitating a three hour detour. We would have definitely missed the ship if they hadn't held it. Bonus that NCL credited us the full cost of the excursion for the inconvenience. The other time was due to an issue with equipment that was fault of the tour operator but NCL again held the ship.

In "Ocean Blue" you can add lobster tail to an entree for $25. We asked if we could order just lobster tail and have it included in our free-at-sea but answer is no, you have to pay the upcharge. I've also seen it offered as an option in Cagney's.

110 outlets near headboard

I sleep with a CPAP machine and need a outlet near the headboard or do I need to bring an extension cord?
Asked by: Eagledo
Breakaway and Breakaway Plus class ships have power only at the desk, therefore you WILL need an extension cord. I use a 10 foot cord with multiple outlet tap since both of us use CPAP machines. Avoid anything with surge suppression as it's more likely to be confiscated.

Is the pool heated on the Bliss?

Asked by: Kayleen
I just finished the Alaskan cruise on April 15-22. The adult only pool is filled with salt water. The water during the first day at sea was freezing cold. By the third day, the temperature went up to match that of the kids' pool. Both pools' temperature was warm enough to swim for an hour without the risk of hypothermia. The air temperatures were only a few degrees above freezing during the entire week. With wind chill, the outdoor temperature would be at least 5-10 degrees colder. You have to keep moving in the water the entire time. There wasn't anyone lounging/sun-tanning on the pool deck nor that many swimmers but then that's mid-April in Alaska for yah.
