Breakaway Interior room with toddler

Interior room 13th floor Category IC - my husband, 3 year old, and I. From what I see there is no extra bed; just two twins that will be a queen? It says the room fits 2-4 people; how would that work? He probably will not sleep in a pack and play. Is he stuck in our bed? Room number is 13409.
Asked by: Juliajane2117
For a younger child fo the following....get the twin mattress from the Bunk bed and put it on the floor by the door erntrance if you don't have any other space. That works for many people no matter if you have an inside, window or balcony cabin. Once we traveled with two young ones, i was not comfortable with having my 4.5 year old on the top bunk, so we took the top mattress put the youngest on the floor by the door and used the sofa back pillow as a guard to prevent him from rolling all over the floor it was extremely comfortable and SAFE and we put the other child on the sofa bed. In the morning put it back on the bunk bed if u like or stand it up by the door.

Hair dryer in room

Asked by: SheilaE
All staterooms feature a hair dryer. It usually is located on the dressing table, not in the bathroom.

Can you rent a tuxedo on board the Breakaway

Asked by: geo0269
Formal clothes are not required onboard the ship. They do have "dress up or not nights" where formals are suggested but not required. There are no stores that rent tux onboard the ship.

Balcony cabin on Breakaway is it large enough to accommodate 4 adults or a Family Oceanview cabin will that accommodate 4 adults.

Asked by: Paspel
One additional thing to keep in mind - even if you have enough beds for four people, remember that you only have one bathroom, and closet space suitable for two people. A standard Balcony or Ocean View stateroom will feel very cramped for four adults.

Asked by: CRUZ
No. Due to fire hazard issues, the staterooms do not have clothes iron and you are not allowed to bring irons on board the ship. However, you can request the Guest Services Desk or the cabin stewards they will be happy to bring you an iron and ironing board for a few hours.

Dress code for dinner in dining rooms? Specialty restaurants? Formal nights?

Asked by: Jackrr
You are cruising Freestyle. Formal clothes are not required on NCL. You can wear "smart casual" clothes to the specialty dining rooms and the main dining rooms. There are no formal nights but they do have "Dress up or not" nights where formals are suggested (but not required). However, if you plan to have family portraits taken with the Captain, formals would be nice.

What dining room is open on embarkation day(options to the Garden Cafe)?

I have been on several NCL cruises , but not on the Breakaway. I know that the Garden Cafe is available for lunch on embarkation day. What dining room will also be open for lunch?
Asked by: meslt1992
On embarkation day Taste or Savor will be open for lunch. O'Sheehan's is open 24/7 but I'm not sure if they are open for the few hours during embarkation.

I have been told the 20% service charge in the specialty dining is included in the unlimited beverage package. Is this true.

I have both the unlimited beverage and the 5 meal dining package. If I choose to take additional meals in the specialty dining, is the 20% charge covered under the beverage package? This is my first cruise and looking for any and all info i can get.
Asked by: Stewa60
If you have the drinks package, the 20% gratuity will have been charged along with the cost of your cruise. If you have the dining package, the gratuity will have been collected for the 5 meals in your package. If you decide to have additional dinners at the specialty restaurants, you will have to pay gratuity for the meal. Any drinks you order while you dine will be covered by the drinks package.

Are there self-laundry services aboard the Breakaway? Washers and Dryers? Deck 10

If so, is there a charge to use? How much? What currency?
Asked by: TCRoski
No. There are no self-service laundries. All ships offer laundry, dry clean & pressing services. They have laundry bags in your stateroom that you can give to the cabin stewards. Usually around the middle of the cruise they offer discounts on the services. However, I wouldn't use it for any delicate or expensive dresses.
