  • Luije Padron served in the U.S army and is now the Global Creative Director at Norwegian Cruise Line

    U.S. Army

    Luije Padron was a Corporal in the U.S. Army specialized as a Military Police Investigator from 2009-2016. He now works as the Global Creative Director at NCL. As to why he enlisted, Luije says, “The military on-base life always appealed to me growing up. The sense of community and camaraderie was great.”

    As Global Creative Director at Norwegian, Luije says, “I lead a team of gifted storytellers and together we strategize to find creative ways to get people to cruise with us so they can have the time of their lives.” Luije was also lead designer on NCL’s new military program.

  • Neshme Bazan served in the U.S army and is now the Senior Finance Manager at Norwegian Cruise Line

    Neshme Bazan served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 2010-2016, specializing in civil affairs. She now works as Norwegian’s Senior Finance Manager. Neshme says she joined the military because, “I wanted to serve the country that open up its arms to me and my family and provided me with opportunities I could have only dreamed of.”

    Neshme says her favorite thing about working for NCL is, “the people. There is a great sense of belonging.” Neshme is also the co-founder of the Military Appreciation Program.

  • Matthew Lewis served in the U.S Navy and is now the Senior vice president and Chief Security Office at Norwegian Cruise Line

    Matthew Lewis served in the United States Navy as a Navy SEAL from 1980-2001. He now works as Norwegian Cruise Line Holding’s Senior Vice President, Company Security Officer. “Our department is responsible for a myriad of areas including but not limited to all vessel, terminal, corporate office, international and domestic island and facilities; global intelligence, international ship and port security (ISPS), hot line investigations, casino surveillance, vessel/island/corporate CCTV as well as C-SUITE executive protection.

    Matthew says he enlisted in the military because, “It was always impressed upon me that no matter what I did in life, I would owe a debt to this country. Nothing is free, and nothing is guaranteed. The only thing in life that is guaranteed is the opportunity to succeed and that my success would be a direct reflection of my efforts.” Matthew is also the co-founder of Norwegian’s Veteran Task Force.
