Will a current COVID test be required if both vaccinations have been administered?

Asked by: Jimpoe
NCL recently updated their announced plans for health and safety requirements. All adult passengers now will be required to show evidence of having been fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to the embarkation of their cruise.

Do we need a COVID test or vaccine to board?

Asked by: Anonymous
The answer is YES and YES. We just returned from a 7/4 day cruise (10/21 - back to back) out of Miami. No one was allowed to board without proof of vaccination. At the port, covid tests were administered. I was impressed at how orderly and quickly everything was processed. All onboard crew had been vaccinated and are tested weekly. Additionally, the crew must wear masks at all times in public areas. We were so impressed by the safety of NCL that we have booked two more cruises, one is leaving in two weeks. We are frequent cruisers and were recently offered a free (nothing is totally free) cruise on another line. We turned it down because they would allow unvaccinated passengers.

Our stateroom is on the 10th deck opposite the stairway. Will it be terribly noisy at night?

Asked by: Yarmouth
We always book a cabin as close to the elevator as possible to minimize walking. We've never had an issue with noise.

Does the Dawn have an observation deck similar to the Joy

Asked by: Krollsm
Unfortunately, no it doesn't. You can click on the Deck Plans link above to view the ship's layout. There are several lounge areas on the Dawn, but not a forward facing observation lounge as found on some other ships in the NCL fleet.

Is there a Comedy club on board?

Asked by: breninbv
There is not a separate comedy club venue on the Dawn, but comedy acts frequently are scheduled for either the main stage or one of the lounges.

Los Lobos Question - Norewegian Dawn

Is Los Lobos included in the pre-cruise dining packages (promotional or purchased at extra cost) or is it completely a la carte for all passengers?
Asked by: Rich57
All specialty dining is included in the FAS dining package. Whether it is fixed cost or al a carte is of no consequence. Read the FAQ about the FAS for full details and any limitations.

Are ther laundry facilities onboard? Ones where you can do your own?

Asked by: Cruiseenthuse
No laundry facilities for guests to do their own. If you are booked in a club balcony suite or higher you will get one free bag of laundry during the cruise, otherwise it’s around $29 for the bag, which is relatively small. We just finished an 11 day cruise and did not need the laundry service.

Does the Dawn have any rooms for single travelers?

Asked by: Melton
There are no Studio staterooms on the Dawn. These are the rooms found on some other NCL ships which are designed for solo travelers. It is possible, however, for single passengers to reserve an Inside, Ocean View, Balcony, or other stateroom, There usually will be an additional charge for doing this, but it sometimes may be waived if the cruise is not fully booked.

What is PrivaSea?

We have a balcony room.
Asked by: aegrant2020
PrivaSea is a term NCL uses for cabins where the hull wraps around the balcony. It usually happens in the forwardmost cabins. There's a window-like gap of maybe 4 feet square left providing a view from the balcony. It limits your view somewhat, but provides more privacy than a normal balcony in that your neighbors can't see around it to see what you're up to on your balcony. You can look at the pictures of most ships to see what they look like from the outside. Pay attention to the forward cabins on either side of the ship. You can find a view from inside by going to the Breakaway Haven Forward Facing Penthouse. One of the pictures looks out at a PrivaSea balcony.

ammenities for suite guests?

We are booked in a Aft facing penthouse suite with a large balcony. Under the FAQ it says suite guests get additional ammenities depending on the catagory: What are they? Is there complementery dinning for breakfast and lunch in a speciality reateraunt?
Asked by: Buddy186
It has been a couple of years since the last time I traveled in a Suite on a Dawn class ship, so the amenities offered today may be different from what we experienced. All Suite guests are welcome to enjoy breakfast and lunch in one of the specialty restaurants, usually Cagney's or Moderno. The coffee maker in your room typically will be a Nespresso or Keurig rather than a Hamilton Beach. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner available in your bathroom will be an upgrade from what you might encounter in a standard stateroom, and your Butler will offer you an array of hors d'oeuvres each afternoon.
