Are we allowed to decorate our cabin door

I think NCL is different from other lines. Every ship that I have been on, most people do not decorate their doors. Actually, I have not seen any door during my past 2 cruises that were decorated.

Do I need to bring a converter for the outlets in the cabin? Are they European or American style?

The cabins have both. I suggest that you bring an adapter to make full use of the european outlet if you have a lot to charge up. You cant bring a surge protector but you can use US adapters that have more outlets and USB. The Epic does have USB outlets too.

Yes, NCL calls it the Glow party and they have an 80s night, also other parties too. You do not have to participate or adhere to the dress code. I have a white outfit but never dress up for the 80s.

On the Epic, Club Balcony rooms is there hair shampoo, body soap? Are there plenty of plug ins or should you bring a power stip?

Hair Shampoo and Body wash are in the showers (no Conditioner). As far as power strips they MUST not have a surge protector - it WILL be confiscated! You can buy non-surge protector power strips on Amazon or other retail outlets. Yes you can request one to use but only for a little bit. DO NOT bring a steamer and use it. It will set the alarms off and they will confiscate it.

English is the official language of NCL. Of course, the crews are multicultural so if you're looking for someone speaking another language, you'll very likely to find it.

What do the room categories mean?

They're just abbreviations for the stateroom type. For example, Balcony staterooms begin with B, Club Balconys with M. The second letter/number in the code is the specific type - large balcony, aft facing, etc.
