Tipping for Embarkation Assistance?

I am going to have assistance for embarkation; i.e. wheelchair or whatever else it takes for mobility help. Although I pre-paid tips on the ship, I want to take care of the person giving assistance. Is this included in the prior tips I've paid, or can I slip a little extra cash to them?
Asked by: Baduda
The staff that will assist you during embarkation is not part of the ship and won't be included in the gratuities. The staff will be happy to take any tip you give them for their service.

are the balconies connecting also with connecting balcony staterooms on deck 9 of norwegian jewel

Asked by: Lambton1
The balcony dividers are fire proof doors and to prevent the spread of fire, the doors are locked when the ship is sailing.

Is there a pickleball court?

Asked by: sewasong
The ship has a general purpose sports complex that can be used for basketball, tennis and other sports. You will need to ask the staff to put the tennis nets to play pickle ball. I suggest getting your own equipment.

Will I need an adapter plug for cell phone, etc. on the ship if I'm coming from America?

Asked by: CandyCane
All ships have 110 V and 220 V A/C. The connector is US prongs for 110 V and European style prongs for the 220 V. There is one outlet in your room next to the dressing table and another one in the bathroom. The outlets are limited and are not located next to your bed. You may want to take an extension cord if you want to connect some device next to your bed.

We are booked for an Alaskan cruise in early June. What temperature should we expect and will it be tolerable to use the hot tubs?

Asked by: Crhall
The temperature will be in the 70s during the day and 50s at night. However, make sure you carry at least one thick jacket. The decks on the ship can get quite chilly when the ship is sailing in the Alaskan waters. Also if you have plans to visit a glacier, make sure you have warmer clothes and appropriate shoes. You can also check the weather on any weather related websites. If you check a 2-3 days before the cruise sail date, you can even get details of any rain in the ports you are visiting. You can use the hot tubs but since the decks are open it will still be cold outside the tub.
