Where can a cigar be smoked aboard the Sun?

Asked by: Red1hour
Many NCL ships include a Cigar Lounge, but the Deck Plans for the Sun do not show one on this ship. The last time I traveled on the Sun was several years ago. There was no Cigar Lounge on board at that time. Although the ship has undergone a refurbishment since then, there still is no Cigar Lounge shown on the plans. I can't say for sure, but you may not be allowed to smoke a cigar on this ship.

Is there a Starbucks on board

Asked by: jjpa
Unfortunately, no. Several of NCL's newer ships, as well as some that have been refurbished recently, do have a Starbucks on board, but there is not one on the Sun. Coffee is available at the restaurants and several of the bars and lounges, but it is not Starbucks brand coffee.

Why are smoking areas not noted on ship maps?

I know smoking is frowned upon, but there are still people addicted and letting them know a safe place to smoke would be very helpful.
Asked by: LSUSaint
NCL has been reducing the number of areas on board where smoking is permitted. There still are smoking areas on all NCL ships, but they sometimes have been relocated or reduced in size when a ship has undergone a renovation. The designated smoking areas on each ship are indicated by onboard signage. The fact that the areas sometimes are changed might be the reason NCL does not show them on the deck maps. but they are designated onboard.

Are there places to fill water bottles on the Sun?

Asked by: Mferg
You can fill them at the sink in your stateroom. NCL ships use a reverse osmosis process to provide potable water used throughout the ship. The water in your tap comes from the same source as that served in the restaurants and is perfectly safe to drink.

Are there electrical outlets near the balcony beds for CPAP users?

Asked by: whatdoyouwantmetoputhere
Unfortunately, no. The electrical outlets are located at the dressing table near the foot of the bed. You probably will need an extension cord at least ten feet in length to reach the head of your bed.

what do we have to do with the pandemic Cobid-19

Asked by: Kathleen
NCL and other major cruise lines are still evaluating the protocols that will be required of passengers sailing with them. Those protocols may undergo some revision between now and the resumption of cruising later this year. At a minimum, however, you can expect that masks and frequent hand washing will be required. It is likely that most or perhaps all off-ship tours must be with an NCL approved shore excursion. Evidence of a recent negative result on a Covid-19 test probably will be required, and NCL has floated a trial balloon of requiring all passengers and crew to have received a full course of Covid-19 vaccinations prior to boarding. NCL will release further updates on their policies when a return to cruising draws closer.
