Underwater Wine Experience - Small Group Experience

OVERVIEW

Zip through the sheltered waters of the Bay of Kotor in a speedboat and enjoy a sampling of wines aged beneath the sea, which imparts a unique flavor and aroma. The ride will be spectacularly scenic as you race off to Our Lady of the Rocks, a miniscule manmade islet with a chapel renowned for its 15th-century icon of the Virgin Mary and a Carrara marble altar. From there, another boat will bring you to a floating raft by the underwater wine cellar. The wines are aged at a depth of about 65 feet so that they reap the positive benefits of constant water pressure, temperature, currents and absence of light. This patented process definitely affects the taste. You can expect to be offered a sampling of citrusy white wine and a fruity rosé, both of which have matured for at least one year at the bottom of the bay.
