Charlottetown By Double Decker

OVERVIEW

History comes alive on this authentic vintage double-decker bus. This one-and-a-half-hour city tour with your local guide will take you along the waterfront and through the heritage district of Charlottetown. Learn the story of Charlottetown's origins and its growth into a prosperous community during the Victorian era. Experience the heritage and see some of the beautiful homes left behind and public buildings of wood, sandstone and brick. You’ll learn about the famous Conference of 1864, which gave the city its designation as the Birthplace of Canada. The tour includes time on Great George Street, a charming national historic district where you’ll walk in the footsteps of the Fathers of Confederation. Walk along the street will take you by Saint Dunstan's Basilica, concluding at Province House, both being National Historic Sites of Canada. Following your walk, you may choose to remain in town and return to your ship at leisure (a short walk) or join your guide for a return transfer to the pier.
