OVERVIEW

Enjoy exploring Canada’s charming province, famous for it’s red shores and fertile farms. After a brief city tour of historic Charlottetown the birthplace of Canada, you will depart the city, passing the outlying communities of Ebenezer and Wheatley River in route to Cavendish. You will make a stop in Rustico, to capture this picturesque fishing village known for its stunning coastal views and vibrant local culture. Continue your journey to Cavendish Beach, renowned for it’s striking red sand and breathtaking natural beauty. Next, visit Prince Edward Island’s Anne of Green Gables National Historic Site, the home that inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery, one of Canada’s most beloved writers. The house and grounds have been restored to reflect the period setting described in the classic novel “Anne of Green Gables.” You may also explore the Visitor's Centre, learn about island farming and browse the gift shop before returning to the pier.

• Comfortable Walking shoes and light jacket recommended.

Need to Know:

Note: Walking is at your discretion, mostly on uneven ground, grassy inclines, gravel, beaten pathways, uneven terrain, cobblestone, wooden decking. Access to Green Gables main floor is via wheelchair ramp. The second floor at Green Gables is not wheelchair accessible (15 steps). Color photographs of the second-floor rooms are available for those who cannot climb stairs. Tour may operate in reverse.
