The system of water mills and stamp mills built on the river Ljuta were extremely important to the economy of Konavle and the Republic. The river source and the upper stream are under government protection as a natural park, while the water mill is protected as a cultural monument.

Visit an old water powered mill, still in use today and see a demonstration of flour production using traditional methods; you’ll also visit a stamp mill. Learn of the importance of these systems and enjoy a light refreshment. Arriving on the western entrance to the Old Town of Dubrovnik, your guide will lead you on an orientation walk through the center followed by free time.
