OVERVIEW

Sail aboard a sleek catamaran to a collection of sandbars just offshore for an exhilarating up-close experience with southern stingrays. Once you settle in on the 50-foot catamaran Allura, the crew will raise the sails for a delightful cruise to Stingray City. The water there is shallow with plenty of sandbars, so you can make the most of your stingray interaction. Feel free to wade out as far as you’re comfortable, hand-feed the stingrays, stroke their sandpaper-like skin or just stand by and watch them from a distance. Although stingrays may look somewhat frightening, the reality is just the opposite. They are naturally shy and docile. The ones at Stingray City are so accustomed to people that they will typically approach as soon as you enter the water.

HELPFUL HINTS
• Dress in weather-appropriate clothing.
• Wear a swimsuit under a cover-up and bring a towel.
• Wear flat comfortable walking shoes.


Need to Know:

Note: Minimum age to participate is 5 years old. Guests who wish to enter the water to interact with the stingrays will be on a sandbar; however, the water level can range to several feet in depth. The tour is not available to guests who utilize a wheelchair or guests with mobility concerns. Light-weight cotton clothing worn over a swimsuit; flat, comfortable walking shoes; sun cap, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. Guests wishing to participate in water activities do so at their own risk and responsibility and should bring a towel and change of clothes. There is a restroom aboard the tour boat. The consumption of alcohol before any water activity is strongly discouraged and not recommended. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
