Awe Art Experience - Life Of A Leather Artisan

OVERVIEW

Design and create your own luggage tag under the watchful eye of a master craftsperson in an artistic co-op. The venue for this collaborative endeavor will be WERK, a creative workspace where local craftspeople produce well-designed, exquisitely made items out of various materials. The brainchild of artisan Clinton Victor, WERK houses a collection of talented printmakers, silversmiths, jewelers and such, all committed to improving their own lives and Port Elizabeth through arts and crafts. You will work directly with a master craftsperson to design and handmake a personalized leather luggage tag. Feel free to emboss the leather with any sort of design elements that you find appealing or meaningful to you. The final product will be yours as a keepsake. Afterwards, you can browse the other workspaces, where you will find an array of craftspeople creating all sorts of artwork, much of it for sale.
