This charming half-day tour allows you to see many of Melbourne's highlights and begins with a drive to Fitzroy Gardens, located in the heart of Melbourne City.
Begun in 1860, these magnificent gardens are laid out in the shape of the Union Jack. Hidden amongst the trees you will find Cook's Cottage, the charming family home of Captain James Cook, the English navigator who explored the Southern Hemisphere in three great voyages and first 'discovered' the east coast of Australia. The two-story brick cottage and its adjoining stable were shipped over piece by piece from its original location in the north of England. Enjoy some free time to explore the gardens before you re-join your coach and continue on to the city center. Relax and enjoy an informative narrative by your guide as you travel past many magnificent buildings, including The Treasury, Parliament House, the Windsor Hotel, the Princess Theatre and the marvelous Gothic buildings that are found along Collins Street. Stop for photos at the Shrine of Remembrance, one of the most stunning and recognizable landmarks of Melbourne.
Visit one of Melbourne's newest attractions, Eureka Skydeck 88.
