Accessible Mobility Equipment: Waterfalls & Wildlife (Minibus)

OVERVIEW

This excursion is for guests who are fully dependent on their mobility device. You will be required to supply your own wheelchair/scooter. Your mobility equipment (manual or electric) must not exceed the following dimensions: W 36", L 60", H 54".

Those guests that are companions, use a cane or walker, or have limited mobility issues must book the companion tour code: OCJ_A1 ACCESSIBLE Companion: Waterfalls & Wildlife (Minibus).

Tour includes step-free routes, shorter distances and no stairs. Accessible restrooms with wide doors for wheelchairs are present along the tour route. Vehicles are adapted with an access ramp (or lift where available) to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs and/or mobility scooters. Guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs; therefore, guests needing special assistance must be accompanied by an able-bodied.

Enjoy the freedom of spending time as you please at three attractions that showcase the diversity of experiences that Ocho Rios offers. Konoko Falls cascades through a lush area that the Taino Indians originally settled, and it is still an unspoiled setting. Besides taking in the waterfall’s natural beauty, you might explore the botanical garden, mini-zoo and aviary within the surrounding parkland. Jamaica is also well-known for its jerk-style cuisine featuring meat that is liberally seasoned, smoked and grilled. While dining on your own at the classic Ocho Rios Jerk Centre, you can choose from a variety of class jerk dishes ranging from grilled red snapper to spicy pork. The Taj Mahal Shopping Centre presents yet another side of Ocho Rios, one that caters to those seeking upscale designer merchandise. Designed to emulate the original Taj Mahal in India, the mall contains dozens of duty-free shops. Jewelry stores are particularly plentiful.
