Kuala Lumpur is often referred to as the Garden City because of its abundance of greenery and beautifully landscaped parks and colorful gardens. Visitors are always impressed with the city's lovely tree-shaded streets that are decoratively lined with ornamental plants, shrubs and flowers. Your visit takes you to the Orchid and Hibiscus gardens where you can find exotic species of each of these flowers and many colorful varieties of Hibiscus, the national flower. A short distance away is the Butterfly Park. Here, the tropical rainforest environment is home to over 6,000 whimsical butterflies that will delight you as they flutter from flower to flower. Included is a visit to the butterfly nursery and breeding area.
Stop for photos at Independence Square, the former playing field of the Royal Selangor Club and where important events are held, and at the Petronas Twin Towers, the world's tallest twin structures.
