OVERVIEW

Discover why over 30,000 people a year visit Samana for some of the best whale watching in the world on our Whale Watching Expedition. Humpback whales have been wintering near Samana for centuries and these whales from the North Atlantic migrate to savor the warm and clear waters and to mate and to give birth. Many whales may be present at any given time. Cave drawings made by aboriginal inhabitants near the Samana Peninsula depict the spouting whales long before the arrival of Columbus. This is truly the experience of a lifetime.

HELPFUL HINTS

• Guests should wear comfortable clothes, non-slip shoes, and sun protection.
• Motion Sickness preventatives are recommended.

Need to Know:

Note: Guests with back or leg problem, pregnant women cannot participate. passengers may suffer from dizziness; it is advisable to take a Dramamine pill 30 minutes before boarding the boat. This tour is only available for the sailing of Norwegian Pearl on March 13th, 2026.
