You’ll have an opportunity to visit some of Singapore’s lesser known highlights on this extended half day tour for guests disembarking the ship.

A short drive away from the pier is the Tiong Bahru Wet Market where locals purchase some of the freshest products for their home cooking. During your stop here, you’ll witness both the dry and wet areas of the market as you stroll through the displays. The wet areas that come from cleaning vegetables and fish with water are what give the market its name. Next, Travel to the north side of the island to visit the Kranji War Memorial, the last resting place for many of the Allied soldiers, honoring the lives lost during World War II.

Enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch before resuming your tour with a visit to Bright Hill Temple. The temple is a famous Chinese ancestral place of worship and features beautiful gardens and many halls. Stop at Tampines New Town for a walking tour of the area. Tampines New Town residential district has received the United Nations’ world habitat award for being an outstanding human settlements area. Follow your guide on a walk around the town, which gives an insight into the typical Singaporean lifestyle, showcasing the neighborhood and the community where schools, shopping malls, restaurants, libraries and a sports hub can be found.
