Drive a Jeep through downtown Nassau and its suburbs, taking in attractions such as the caves where the indigenous Lucayans once lived and then pausing to relax at the beach..

After a short walk from the pier, you will hop into a Jeep Wrangler and hit the open road. There is plenty to see during your time behind the wheel, starting with downtown Nassau, the capital, largest city and cultural hub of the Bahamas..

You will drive through the colorful shopping district on Bay Street and see highlights such as palm-dotted Rawson Square, lovely government buildings such as the Supreme Court and the pink-hued House of Assembly. You will then head west past lovely Cable Beach and on towards the Nassau Caves for a photo stop..

The Lucayans, the original residents of the Bahamas once lived in these caverns. Settlers later used the caves for religious services and the guano inside to fertilize their crops..

You will drive along JFK Drive, which recognizes President John F. Kennedy’s 1962 meeting in Nassau to discuss Polaris, the United Kingdom’s submarine-based nuclear-weapons program. The fabulous and sprawling Baha Mar resort is another Bahamian landmark that you will pass. .

Cruise to Blue Lagoon Island on a sleek double-decker ferry for an up-close encounter with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins at an American Humane-certified facility. Upon arriving at the island, which is also known as Salt Cay, you will first learn about the characteristics and behavior of dolphins, such as how they communicate and use echolocation to hunt prey. Once in the water, you will stand on a waist-deep submerged platform that allows easy access to these highly intelligent marine mammals. A trainer will be on hand to recommend the best ways to interact with and touch the dolphins. You can expect an unforgettable experience as dolphins are naturally curious and social. This jaunt is named the Express Beach Break because it won’t take long to reach the beach, giving you all the more time to enjoy the tropical setting. Depending on the conditions and the time of day, you will be dropped off on a gorgeous stretch of sand on the preferred beach of choice, Good Man's Bay Beach. There you will spend hours relaxing however you see fit. Stretch out on the beach and bask in the sun, lie in the shade under a coconut palm, stroll along the lengthy shore and take a refreshing swim in the sea. Drive through beautiful downtown Nassau in an electric-powered replica of a Model-T Ford that will add a touch of nostalgia to the experience. You will pass some of the capital’s most culturally and historically significant destinations, including the Queen’s Staircase, a 66-step entryway to Fort Fincastle that was hand-cut out of solid limestone. After crossing Nassau Harbor on the bridge to famed Paradise Island, you will get a glimpse of the lush Versailles Gardens and pause to enjoy Cabbage Beach, a stretch of sugar-white sand that is incredibly photogenic. Many of the island’s most luxurious hotels, including Atlantis, overlook the beach. You will also stop at hilltop Fort Charlotte, a fortification that the British built in the 18th century. Although 42 cannons are perched on its ramparts, not one was ever fired in battle.
