Journey to the village of Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen, the town of poetry and art lined with blue and white washed houses with balconies, tiled roofs and patios adorned with citrus trees. This Moorish town sheltered the Arab refugees from Andalusia after the fall of Granada and the decline of Arab rule in Spain. Explore the town’s old medina on foot along with your guide, who will share stories of its history.
Visit the Kasbah, dating back to the early 18th century. See the craftsmen at work in their small traditional factories and enjoy the aromas of the Moorish and Andalusian civilizations. Inside the Kasbah, visit the museum containing antique weapons, musical instruments, and photographs of the old town. You’ll have a privileged view of Chaouen, as you enjoy a drink from a hotel’s terrace.
Stop at the main square, where the striking 15th century Grand Mosque stands. The mosque and its nearby buildings were built by Jewish refugees, who alongside Muslims escaped Spanish persecution. You’ll have some free time here for shopping or exploring further on your own. Enjoy a typical, authentic lunch at a local restaurant.

Experience one of Morocco’s most authentic and best preserved medinas, stop for photos at the lookout point of Cap Spartel and visit Hercules Caves, inhabited in prehistoric times. A scenic drive takes you to Cap Spartel, a promontory projecting into the waters where the Mediterranean and Atlantic meet. Stop here for a unique photo opportunity and visit Hercules Caves. The caves have been carved out by the perpetual action of the waves and partially by the hand of man. You’ll learn some of the legends surrounding these caves. Drive to Tetouan, where you’ll stop to see the old Royal Palace, a reflection of Moorish architecture. The palace is closed to the public, but its ornate gate will give you an impression of what is beyond. Hassan II Square, in the heart of the town, is reminiscent of Andalusia with its fountains, flower boxes, wrought iron balconies and shop windows. Follow your guide through the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The authenticity of the Medina is illustrated by its original urban layout practically intact and its initial design with surrounding wall, gates, and fortified constructions. This traditional walled souk features many typical architectural traits related to its history and a multitude of artisans carrying out their trades. Discover the Bab El Oqla Museum, a vibrant gateway into Tétouan’s history and culture. Through its captivating exhibition, “Tétouan: Man and His Environment,” the museum invites visitors to explore centuries of heritage, admire the architectural beauty of the medina, and immerse themselves in the city’s rich artistic and craft traditions. An inspiring cultural experience at the heart of one of Morocco’s most iconic cities. Relax and enjoy a typical Moroccan lunch with traditional entertainment at a local restaurant in the heart of the city. After lunch, you’ll have some free time for shopping or exploring further.
