Hotel Programmes FAQs

What is the Norwegian Cruise Line (Norwegian) Hotel Programme?

The Norwegian Hotel Programme provides guests with access to hotels selected by Norwegian at competitive rates, for 1-, 2-, or 3-night stays before or after your Norwegian cruise. Guests do not select their hotel. Norwegian will provide specific hotel information at least 30 days prior to sail date.

If booked through the Hotel Programme, when will I know my hotel assignment?

Hotel details will be provided at least 30 days prior to your cruise departure.

How many guests can be accommodated in one hotel room under the Hotel Programme?

Room capacity depends on the respective hotel’s occupancy limits as the hotels in the Hotel Programme vary on occupancy between 2, 3 or 4 guests per room. If your booking includes more guests than a single room permits, additional rooms will be assigned, and each guest will be charged accordingly.

When can I book a hotel room under the Hotel Programme?

The programme can be added from the time of cruise booking until 120 days prior to sailing.

What does the Hotel Programme cost?

Pricing varies by destination, length of stay, and season.

How many nights can I purchase through the Hotel Programme?

Guests can select a 1-, 2-, or 3-night stay before or after the cruise.

Do I earn loyalty points through the Hotel Programme?

No loyalty points are awarded under the Hotel Programme. However, some hotel properties may extend perks to their loyalty programme members such as complimentary Wi-Fi at check-in.

What is the minimum age to book a room in the Hotel Programme?

Guests must be at least 21 years old to book a room.

What is the Hotel Plus Programme and how does it differ from the Norwegian Hotel Programme?

The Hotel Plus Programme provides guests with the ability to choose their specific hotel at the time of booking and includes additional amenities such as:

  • Transfers between hotel and ship (pre- or post-cruise)
  • Hospitality and tour desk in the hotel lobby
  • 24-hour emergency contact
  • All applicable resort fees
  • Hotel porterage

These amenities and the ability to select your hotel property at the time of booking are the primary differences between the Hotel Plus Programme and the Norwegian Hotel Programme.
