As we kick start 2017, many of us are promising ourselves that this is the year that we will experience other cultures, travel the world, and finally see the sights that we have always wanted to. In celebration of the New Year and of the five Norwegian Cruise Line ships being deployed in Europe this summer, Norwegian Cruise Line has put together its top five resolutions.
Whether exploring the picturesque town of Kotor, Montenegro – with its 9th century 64-foot protective walls, or discovering the whitewashed walls of Santorini, Greece while sailing on board Norwegian Spirit, guests have plenty of options for fulfilling their ambitions for 2017.
For instance…
1. Have more ‘me’ time
With Norwegian’s onboard luxury spa service, Mandara Spa®, guests can get the pampering they deserve. Offering a wide range of treatments, massages and therapies to help unwind, the Mandara Spa® is the perfect way for holiday-makers to relax. Guests can experience this whilst making their way to exciting destinations across the globe; whether on the way around Hawaii on board Pride of America, or exploring the Greek Isles on board Norwegian Star.
2. Travel the world
In a world filled with exciting destinations and incredible locations, it can be hard to choose where to go next. On a cruise with Norwegian, guests can visit a huge number of fantastic countries – all while only having to unpack once. Make the most of travelling by “sea-ing” as much as possible; with enough time to explore each port, and a wide range of shore excursions to choose from. From the eastern Mediterranean on board Norwegian Spirit, to the western Caribbean on board Norwegian Escape, there is something for everyone.
3. Be immersed in new cultures
Norwegian’s shore excursions are designed to help passengers get to know the local culture in each port – and see the part that interests them the most. Passengers can go horseback riding in Corfu during their Adriatic and Greece cruise on board Norwegian Star, or see the Temple of Poseidon on a stop in Athens (Piraeus) on an Eastern Mediterranean & Greek Isles cruise on board Norwegian Spirit. On every itinerary and each ship, Norwegian has a range of excursions that you can choose from, offering an easy way for guests to make history come alive, experience the traditions of local people and see the best of the best at each port.*
4. Get fit
Top of most people's New Year resolution list is getting healthy in 2017; this doesn't need to take a back seat on holiday: guests can get into the "Spirit"of things by exercising onboard. Take advantage of Norwegian's state of the art onboard gym facilities, take part in an exciting exercise class such as the first-ever "Black Light Spinning" class at sea,or get involved in one of our ground breaking onboard activities such as the ropes course to get those muscles working. With all this at their fingertips, guests can tailor their trip to their own interests - so fitness fanatics will be in holiday heaven.
5. Try something new
A Norwegian cruise presents enormous possibilities for trying something a bit different. From sampling a dish at one of the many dining options on a Norwegian ship, such as French cuisine specialists Le Bistro or a dinner at Japanese Teppanyaki with live-cooking and a show, or trying out climbing on one Norwegian's onboard climbing walls, to seeing a famous Broadway show or experiencing the Svedka & Inniskillin Ice Bar.
What's more, until 7 April 2017, guests will benefit from up to four fantastic add-ons on a range of itineraries to their holiday package, available on all cruises across the world of three days or more**. Guests booking Studio & Inside staterooms will be able to pick one value-add package, whilst those booking Oceanview, Balcony or Mini-Suite staterooms will be able to choose two packages. Guests travelling in suites and The Haven, the luxurious ship-within-a-ship, suites will receive all four offers. The Free at Sea offer choices include:
- One ultimate beverage package per person
- One speciality dining package per person
- 250 minute internet package per stateroom
- $200 on board credit per stateroom
And only for bookings between 1 and 15 February, guests will benefit from reduced deposits on all sailings.
With so much to do both on board and off, Norwegian Cruise Line can help passengers to achieve those New Year resolutions in one easy trip - and with this additional value-add, it's hard to resist. For entertainment, travelling, fitness and value, booking with Norwegian is the perfect way to start 2017 in style.
