OVERVIEW

Zip around Cadiz in an electric-powered tuk-tuk and stop along the way for tastings of foods and drinks that are local favorites. The tuk-tuk resembles an oversized golf cart and being open-air will allow you to become immersed in the rhythms of this city that the Phoenicians founded more than 3,000 years ago. Cadiz exudes history and tradition as you will discover at the Plaza de la Catedral while sampling a pionono. These sponge cake pastries were created in the late 19th century and named for Pope Pius IX, the longest-reigning pope. Continuing on to the La Viña quarter, you will enjoy a drink and tapas at a popular tavern. The tapas will likely feature local cheeses and acorn-fed Iberian pork loin, a marbled meat that is extraordinarily flavorful. One last drink awaits at the Parador de Cadiz hotel, where you will enjoy a glass of wine, vermouth or sangria while gazing out over the sea.
