Part of the mosque is built over the ocean, inspired by the Quranic verse that god’s throne is on the water. It also features one of the world’s highest minarets. You will notice a blend of French colonial and Moroccan architecture in the Habbous district, which is mostly flat so you can more easily get around from shop to shop. The exterior of the Royal Palace is also well worth a look as it is the main residence of Morocco’s royal family while in Casablanca. Mohammed V Square is equally photogenic with all the beautiful municipal buildings surrounding it.

Stop at the charming seaside resort of Ain Diab for a soft drink before continuing to the famous restaurant Rick’s Cafe for lunch. Although this restaurant is not the original, it was designed to recreate the bar featured in the famous Humphrey Bogart movie Casablanca. After lunch, you’ll have a brief shopping stop at United Nations Square.

The charm of the Portuguese towns of El Jadida and Azemmour comes from their medinas .Their narrow streets, beautiful buildings and gates combine a mixture of Portuguese, Arab, Andalusian and Berber architectural styles. Stop at the entrance of Azemmour for a panoramic view of this white-washed town on the banks of the Oum Rabiaa River. Drive to one of the town's main gates Sidi Makhfi, named after a sophism figure. Walk through the Kasbah to reach a large square overlooking the river. Board your coach for the drive to El Jadida and enjoy your Moroccan-style lunch. Walk through the Medina and stop for a panoramic view of the port and the Atlantic Ocean. On your return to Casablanca, stop at the Hassan II Mosque for photos. There will be a last stop in Casablanca for photos opportunities or optional shopping.
